People with high selfish expectations talking sh*t about James doesn't know that there's no one born yet to replace him in DT. Yeah, he's gettin old, he burned his voice into our memories, lived his life as the voice of Dream Theater and he will die with it. Thank You James, we love you. And Suck that haters!!

Tenfold -- and that's saying a lot. He still sounds like a fan got on the stage. Seriously, can anyone bear to listen to this guy live? Don't get me wrong, I'm a DT fan, but I'd never pay for a ticket to listen to LaBrie. He's literally the worst singer I know. At least live.

smash016 I mean, he's better than like Pertucci would be. And he's not actually terrible. Its just.... his showmanship is horrible. Cringey as fuck. Like 10:35. Side headbang? Or the tricks he does with his mic stand. I can't even watch it.

Other bands can only dream of gaining so much scrutiny as DT 'live' as I have seen on many youtube vids. Even the Trolls have a field day; bearing in mind this is the same group of people that repeat a) I can't believe that Mike Portnoy left b) Nobody will ever be as good as Tarja in Nightwish and c) I can't believe Blaze Bailey joined Maiden. 'Ok, I will let you have c)'. Aside from the idle banter this blu ray dvd rocks and for those who pay for it and support the band - it will nicely nestle alongside those Rush, Whitesnake, Epica, Nightwish and Europe dvd's :)

As far as I know, Petrucci used to use a very slight delay between left and right when splitting his amps in stereo, which makes the guitar have a more massive, double tracked sound live. However, when summed to mono it gets a chorusey/flangery sound, which might be happening here.

Please tell me i am not crazy, but this song is like learning to live and this entire album is like images and words, all songs have the same structure and place in the album. The guitar solos are based and the same way as the images and words. On the back of angels= pull me under, and so on. Dont get me wrong, i love this album, but am i crazy?
@ioannisdenton11 жыл бұрын
no. this is what exactly happening. this is why DT are on a totally another level of musicianship.

That's why ADTOF is considered the new Images and Words my friend and you're not crazy at all. As long I as remember, Myung wrote Learning to Live and Breaking all Illusions, maybe that is the reason they are alike.
