A few months ago my wife of 7 years and I decided to go our separate ways. That's when I gave this album a real listen, and it has become by far the most meaningful album of any band to me. Our whole marriage, despite having three kids, was full of extreme highs and extreme lows, but I was always scared to leave because I felt I would let her down. "I can't live up, I can't let down and leave you falling to pieces." God, that's the most true thing I've ever heard. Thanks DT for this amazing song

With Dream Theater you always feel like they have a story to tell rather than the mindless pop songs we hear elsewhere. Be it the story of surviving a trafic accident, the loving relationship between a son and his father, or this description of being in an abusive relationship - Dream Theater has som surprizingly deep themes, captured in beautiful lyrics, some pretty advanced and well put together composition, played by excelent musicians. The way they build up a whole theme with no fear of letting the music evolve over time is just awesome. I have no clue how this band managed to exist since I was 5 and I only heard about them 3 years ago. They deserve so much more credit than what they are getting.

I've only recently started getting into Dream Theater and I'm loving them. I think that section at 4:00 is truthfully one of the heaviest and darkest things I've heard in a long time. That keyboard really brings that section to a whole new level.

The same happening to me, for a lot of time I avoided Dream Theatre than suddenly i start hearing them, and now i'm looking for more and more of their songs. IT may not be a coincidence that in this same moment i'm discovering Opeth to, two bands with meaning full songs, very rich and enjoyable at several moments
