Few singers can keep it up all these years. That's what it is. Too many shows. No offense to James.
@akosslive034 жыл бұрын
@@mr198221 Exactly, and besides that, I still think he is a great vocalist, and there is no need for hating on him. DT would be nowhere without him.
@taalumaaalu83484 жыл бұрын
@@akosslive03 i dont hate him for this, but at least he can hire a vocal coach and work very hard, vocal cords are muscles and need good care and training. this is a chronic problem when I hear a large number of live performances on youtube, but it is still possible to sing those hights if you really work hard....

A Fatal Tragedy indeed. According to DT's bio 'Lifting Shadows', the band seriously throught about sacking LaBrie in 2002 for singing ever better than this.

That drum fill at 6:01 .... wow Mangini.

I saw them twice last year (Milwaukee March 2019 and Peoria, IL October 2019) He was pretty spot on in Milwaukee, but in October not so much, and i'm hearing that it hasn't been that great lately.

James is actually alot better here, he did pretty good compared to other shows...

Stop focusing on vocals, just admire both johns, jordan and mike. I like this cover just by watching JP. I don’t mind James

OMG his voice sounds even worse than in real live yesterday - i assume he has vocal problems, but please: just say it to the audience
@taalumaaalu83484 жыл бұрын
check some recent other video's - the same - this band needs a new lead singer
@akosslive034 жыл бұрын
@@taalumaaalu8348 No need for a new singer. If I could make a bad allegory, I would say that James is like an old washing machine. It makes annoying sounds, but it still does its job. Throughout the years you built up a relationship with it, so it matters to you. I still think that James is a great vocalist, and he is needed in the band.
@taalumaaalu83484 жыл бұрын
@@akosslive03 I understand what you are saying and maybe you are right, but for his fellow musicians, who are so qualitatively excellent, it seems like a drama to play show after show with him ... it diminishes their performance. When Portnoy hears this, he is happy that he is gone ....

Maybe use recorded vocals or hang it up. Gonna see them in Denmark next week. Im just going cause they play the whole SFAM.

its not about hate, my friend, its just a sad condition that JLB can't sing properly anymore. It saddens me. They don't deserve any hate, indeed, but i also think is kinda disrespectful to keep performing like this. If u can't sing, u shouldn't.

Heel jammer allemaal.
