Thank you for all of your amazing work Evan! You're a blessing to the guitar community! P.S. If the ToT transcriptions happened, will you transcribe SDOIT too?

SDOIT is more layered, and I don't have access to stems, so no.

Bravo, Evan! You did a so much better job, than those who put out transcriptions previously. Bummer, I have to relearn playing on a dropped down six string, opposed to those tabs put out on a seven string. The good News, it’s the same tuning as in As I Am.

Hello Evan! Thanking your work that has been great all these years, I have a quick question for you. Why do you think JP plays the last sweeps of the guitar solo differently in the studio version (hence, the tab you kindly made) and the Budokan version? Does he prefer that way live so it sounds cleaner? (not saying that he can't play it at all) Or maybe is just an easier adaptation to perform live? EDIT: I also found that in Schmedley Wilcox's In the name of god part, he plays it exactly as you tabbed, so my question is just about pure curiosity and what's your opinion on that :)

I don't know for sure, but in general it seems that it's a combination of not remembering exactly what he played on the album and switching up positions over the years, whether he favors a different timbre or fingering, or just boredom haha. Either way, that sweep picking part is straight out of Rock Discipline and totally wrong in the TOT tab book.

Great tabs as always, but are you 100% sure he plays only 3 notes per chord in the chorus?
@Biax1232 ай бұрын
It always sounded like he hit the open b string multiple times to me

Not 100% sure of the picking in the choruses, no. Without stems, it's often "let ring" parts like this that are the most difficult to pick out exactly. The other complication is that live videos aren't really reliable for this part, because I'm pretty sure JP was simplifying a bit since he was doing backing vocals there. In live videos, he keeps everything on frets 1-3, whereas on the album it sounds like he's sliding to frets 5 and 7.

@@EvanBradleyTranscriptionshave you tried AI partitioning tools like Moises AI? They are pretty decent now, for example TOT guitar parts are pretty clear there. It also can separate keyboards, acoustics and lead/rhythm guitars. This is still imperfect, but it can definitely help with layering/other tricky stuff. For SDOIT it also does a pretty decent job, so realistically, with enough effort, this album can be also done. Considering that this album is the last one without any proper tabs, this project is the most desirable for the audience. I get why you don’t want to do this, but this world needs a hero (you), who would fix this. Hope that we will see the day when it happens.

@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions just checked the isolated track, and yes, he definitely plays 5 notes per chord usually. The rhythmics is 8+8+4(open b)+8+8. Sometimes the note following open b is still an open b, sometimes he goes to the A string.
