This was definitely one of Mike Portnoy (ex-drummer's) finest moments in Dream Theater... the album 'Systematic chaos' (2007) was a stellar comeback for DT after a long contract w/ Atlantic Records came to an end in 2005. Once they got a new contract w/ Roadrunner Records, this album outsold the prior album 'Octavarium', reaching the US top 20 charts. Goes to show that if u have the right label that can promote u properly, a great band can be successful... especially when a band like Dream Theater has such a hardcore fanbase. John Petrucci (guitar) said the lyrics were "pure fantasy". I got to see Dream Theater twice on this tour and saw them perform 'In the presence of my enemies' Pt. 1 & 2 performed together 🤘🤘🔥🔥Great time! 'The dark eternal night' ... 'Forsaken' ... & 'Constant motion' are incredible songs from this record.

Great band from Long Island NY. Sometimes I miss NY but then remember the taxes and politics. Glad I escaped NY when I did and my kids got to grow up in NC. GO CANES!!! Great solo in this song. Atlerbridge Black Bird still has the most feeling behind it. I remember seeing this band all the time at Sparks, Roxy, and OBI. Good times.

They did. Vin was loving and visably rocking ot it until the middle instrumental section. He gave is a 6.3 because of the circus music section. Strangest review they have done so far. (I think part 2 is much better than part 1 too)

I think Mike Portnoy's finest writing was the Recovery Suite which should be listened to in all parts as one song, hard to ever say anything bad about DT

Simply put: when you take the greatest musicians in the world and hey guys make music without limits dream theater is what you get. Now vin, if you want emotional from dream theater, do hollow years live at budokan from dream theater. John Petrucci slays the hell outta it.
