Also being a huge fan, my issue with Dream Theater has always been James' lack of enunciation and overly breathy-ness. I know the band loved him, and I can't argue that, at times, his voice was perfect for the situation. I love this band so deeply, and it's an incredible challenge to try to introduce it to people unfamiliar when James is belting and screaming incoherently. All of us, don't lie, every single one of us have had to read the lyrics to know what James was singing. I've often wished, "what if they had a better vocalist?" But it begs the question "what would it have been without him?" You listen to bands like Symphony X, Shadow Gallery, Fates Warning (and the list could go on for days). A band can't be too perfect. Often I listen to music that impresses me lyrically and vocally, but lacks instrumentally. Everything in the universe needs balance and there is no perfect band, and that's the beauty, the imperfections.

Another perfect performance from Gabriela. Just when I think I've heard her at her best, boom 💥 she knocks me off my feet. Gabriela sales through this song with no problem, the soft notes are sensual on my ears and when she hits it it's just pure vocal emotions. Can Gabriela sing any better than this, she may just surprise me again ❤🎙🎶
