Amazing job, a couple incorrect positions if you care… Measures 15 and 16 are rooted on the A string. The riff on measure 46, the Bb on the low E string is played on the A string. Measure 47, the D on the low E string is played on the A string.

Measures 15-16: JP tracked it differently in the studio from how he played it on the TOT tour. Check this video at 11:40 kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJbFc3mGqayMhZI Measure 46: I thought I had a clear shot of this in a video, but now I can't remember if that's actually true. Hard to tell for sure on the album. Edit: looks like the way he's playing it on the current tour is the way I have it, for what that's worth. 1:40 of this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4Wudauvd76Abcksi=lqZZ7UfZiu8I1Dsv Measure 47: see 2:10:30 of this live video. Timbre certainly sounds like the low E string on the album as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppC6l52ZrKehqKMsi=Lyyo8Uh-wIW3bz6L

@@EvanBradleyTranscriptionsWow, you definitely proved me wrong. I have been going off of the Live at Budokan positions all these years. I do believe that the measure 46 riff is more ergonomically easier to play, as he did back then. However, I know John likes to adjust the finger positions of how he plays certain parts over the years. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJvIi51tip2NjLssi=SOg8emqtyCIWk3mn This video has him playing the D on the low E string, on the A string. Regardless, I applaud your work and attention to detail.

I wonder if he likes to adjust the finger positions or if he transcribes what he originally did in a different way. He can’t have every note he’s ever recorded stored in his memory.

@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions i came down here looking to see if anyone noticed the difference in positions from a certain live version and you certainly brought your receipts to prove your point. sorry for ever doubting you hahah.

Bar 15, is it really played on the 6th fret, on the 6th string? Live from budokan, he plays this riff on the 1st fret on the 5th string

Do you have a clear video of those notes? Budokan shows Myung during that part. Edit: looks like the way he's playing it on the current tour is the way I have it, for what that's worth. 1:40 of this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4Wudauvd76Abcksi=lqZZ7UfZiu8I1Dsv

@@tadejsusta Oops, I had my parts confused because someone else was asking about measures 45-47. For measures 15-16: JP tracked it differently in the studio from how he played it on the TOT tour. Check this video at 11:40 kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJbFc3mGqayMhZI

@@EvanBradleyTranscriptions I can see now from the video, that it is played on the 6th fret, on the 6th string. I just wonder, if JP adjusted it on live concerts, because it might be easier to play while standing up?
@EvanBradleyTranscriptions2 ай бұрын
@@tadejsusta he's playing it the stretchy way on the current tour, so who knows lol
