@@CripplingDuality I have. And really for his age he is a great singer. at nearly 60 his voice has aged much better than axl rose or bon jovi or really most people around his age. He is absolutely not the most consistent singer but he knows proper technique and takes his job very seriously. Go check out an interview he recently did with the charismatic voice.

@Atchim1234 Actually being mathematically ironic all songs from octivarium were recorded in 5/8 including this one. They might break into other time signatures for bits but its primarily 5/8.

Well this is his baritone guitar that is not his signature. It doesn't have piezos on it like they do. That and he uses a mix of acoustic in the studio too most of the time! That's what I usually hear

This guitar has 29.625 inch long scale and 22 frets, whereas normal guitar, e.g. JP6 has 25.5 inch long scale and 24 frets. With Silhouette Baritone it's like you took the bass guitar body and mounted electronics and strings from electric guitar on that body.

Petrucci's clean sound often seems twangier live than in the studio. Maybe his studio sound doesn't work live, or maybe he doesn't feel like switching...or maybe I'm just imagining it.
