Relay dances are the best! It looks like they're just goofing around and having fun, but if you really pay attention to the choreo you can see how much work went into it. Making something hard look easy is a sure sign of professionals at work.

I did my research and heard about the Mystery Code released a couple days ago!!! ahhh so exciting! people smarter than me are definitely decoding it, but I'll just be happily along for the ride. I think you made the right call to skip the wind blows relay dance. Your first reaction to that song should be with their ‘play color’ performance MV, it’s the best and only way to go as far as I’m concerned.

Gahyeon and Handong were noobs when they joined Dreamcatcher. So they had to work very hard to catch up to the Minx 5 who had been performing on stage for over two years. Handong could barely speak Korean so she got few lines which gives the impression that she's quiet on stage. She also has a poker face when she dances so all her expression is through her body which is elegant and supple. You'll notice an uptick in the quality of the choreo with Deja Vu which is when Huang Sooyeon joined the company as performance director. She's a brilliant choreographer and the backup dancers are her crew. They have a fan following of their own.

Their InSomnia 2nd Gen fan meeting is on May 5th (2am PDT) and it is being livestreamed through MyMusicTaste. This is actually a mini-concert being held in Seoul in a 1600 seat theater. There may be some surprises there. I'm pretty sure the comeback MV has already been made, and the Mystery Code is out so it could happen anytime.

Love your completionist approach to reacting wrt albums! I really think DC albums especially are worth approaching this way. By the way, I recommend searching for their You and I relay dance with pyjamas (to react or for your personal time!). It's very cute and wasn't on that list probably because it's not an official channel/performance or anything. Just for fun. ETA: Oh, they also did a new more relaxed "relay" for Scream in the Vision era with MubeatLive. It's very fun as well.

So besides their real time increase in confidence, the reason that every relay began to seem more and more prepared is actually because of a group called Weki Meki who randomly decided to prepare for their Picky Picky relay dance and that became so well liked by netizens that groups after that started practicing their relay dances. Members now dance during their own part and are no longer trying to remember their part during another member’s line
