When you compare this with the original you can easily hear the improvement in their vocals. The goal in 2015 girl groups was to have all the voices the same so none of them would stand out. Dreamcatcher developed their vocals as individuals so they ALL stand out. It's what puts them far above other groups.

@@gmmartines7331 I mean, it's no secret that a lot 4th gen groups aren't vocal powerhouses, k-pop has become a lot more dance oriented since more people can easily do a tiktok dance challenge making it easy publicity. So vocally (which I'm assuming the OP means) Dreamcatcher are pretty high up there with groups like Mamamoo and SNSD, as in, everyone in the group can sing, and most of them very well) compared to a lot of groups with 2/3 solid vocalists and the rest being mostly dancer or rappers.

Am I the only one who would love if Dreamcatcher had a comeback inspired by their Minx era? Like, somehow mix their horror concept with their former cutesy image. I think it would be very fun and interesting. Maybe have like a Yandere-esque or Pastel Goth concept. They could show their duality really well. Maybe have the MV & music itself be for the most part really cutesy, but have the lyrics be really dark and have a typical Dreamcatcher message behind it.

Some fans keep on saying that dc hated or they were traumatized by minx era but I never heard them say any of that. I think dami and others just found love shake cringe because of the cutesy styling and lyrics but hated or traumatized by minx as a whole? I don't think so. Siyeon just felt sad because of the failure. As far as I remember, they loved performing wdyctmh and action. There's even a minx ballad that some of them still sing in their lives from time to time. Been following them since they were minx.

Yes, thank you. I've been saying this for a long time. I think what happened is that fans cherry picked a few instances of things they might not have liked. Suas hair, Dami's distaste for Aegyo, or like you said Siyeon saying she was sad by the uncertainty of the group, coupled with fans own embarrassment that they originally debuted in a "Cute" concept. I think they used both of those to back up the narrative that the girls hated this period of their lives, it was a sore subject so to never speak about it. Like.. using the word "Traumatized" is a little dramatic, lol. I love the fact that fans want to protect the girls.. but they are grown women. If it was the case that they were traumatized, why would Jiu play Minx songs with Siyeon sitting right next to her? Makes no sense. Siyeon's even randomly sang their songs in lives before, lol. As an original fan of the girls since Minx as well, it's always upset me slightly that majority of fans said they wanted to forget this "Era". They had fans. As few as we were.. they had fans.

Time heals, and even though Siyeon still doesn't like to remember the bad days very much, they're all in SUCH a better place than they were. The first wins relieved so much of the baggage that they were carrying since 2015. I think for Siyeon and Dami it was like covering someone else's song, not something they had the link to that they actually had. Like JiU said, this will probably never happen again, but Handong and Gahyeon REALLY wanted to make that connection with their sisters and be a part of MINX.

I don’t think its that hard to convince. Like ☝🏻 said the first win relieves all the baggage they got carrying with them. U can clearly see they are happy and they probably dont mind it. Also the motive is probably a gift/making gahyeon and dongie happy coz they like the song. So they probably sucked it up for their sake and to let them into their past.
