Dongie's song is actually in Korean. Only the very last bit is in Chinese.

Since each member created their own song (with advice from their producers), the songs really reflect who they are as individuals. Jiu has the purest heart of any human being I've ever come across in my life and it really shows in her song about how much she loves her little dog. Sua's song shows her wild side which is no surprise to anybody. Siyeon reveals a side of herself she doesn't often show, a quiet dreamy elegance. Handong is all Ice Princess in her song, but we all know how much mischief hides behind those cat's eyes. Yoohyeon shows her love of 1950's torch singers with just a touch of doo wap, and shows off her English language skills. Dami right at home in a 2000's pop/punk song reminiscent of Avril Lavigne. Then we finish up with Gahyeon doing what she does best, being incredibly adorable as she sings about her childhood memories of the playground. If you've watched her other solo special clips, they're all like this. She knows her strengths. Sometimes Dreamcatcher company pulls of something that is truly genius, and having each member write a song for themselves is exactly that. No other Kpop group has ever done that because none of them have the concentration of talent you find in Dreamcatcher.

JiU singing a song about her dog is literally the most JiU thing ever 😅

The best thing about the solos is that there are behind the scenes for them with the girls talking about their thoughts, their personal fears and motivations as well as them in the recording booth. My favorite solos in this album were Entrancing, Winter and Beauty Full. The girls mostly all worked on the production, composition and lyrics. Entrancing's original composition was actually gorgeous and more like epic battle music but Leez (the producer) suggested some changes to make it more slow and even asked Siyeon for permission to use her og composition for another song in the future. She also performed Entrancing live in a blood stained hanbok for one of their concerts. No Dot is traumatizing for the entire fandom (and Siyeon) at this point. If you want to fully experience the girl's range I recommend their covers Jiu- event horizon, honesty, solo (jennie's solo song), shagri-la (with Jiu) Sua- standing next to you, still with you, copycat, oort cloud (with Siyeon), Maria Siyeon- betelgeuse, overdose, yb medley, Pporappippam, paradise lost, kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5KmdIiEoKqKjsU (I have no idea what song this is but sua and Siyeon go mad in it) Handong- nights into day, her solos like dawn and that day, her chinese medley of dc songs Yoohyeon- monster (with JIU), NDA (with Dami), baby don't stop (with Dami), Secret love song, perfect, 2002 Dami- ping pong (with Siyeon), dessert, butterfly (og), destiny (og), once upon a time (og), dessert Gahyeon- twinkle (with Handong and Sua), white, disappearing paycheck, be natural (with Yoohyeon), the blue nights of jeju

Bling Bling cover (Kim Yeon-ja). Thanks for the link, Deen. I have always only seen a snippet near the end in a guide or two. So extra, and still so good!

For this album, Siyeon's and Yoohyeon's solos have the most play for me. As I listened to it more, Handong's went from my least favorite to my second favorite right behind Siyeon's. That a capella Chinese verse at the end gives me goosebumps!

I don't think I've ever heard someone say something is "music to their ears" while literally listening to music in their ears lol 😂

You noticed the background dancer with purple hair right? Not only are these their normal background dancers but they used them in all their solo MVs. So imagine that. Their background dancers had the memorize 7 different dances plus the actual title track for this album. I’m pretty sure there wasn’t much time between the title and each solo being recorded. I think if I remember correctly their choreographer for all their songs participated in the background dancing as well. (Anyone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s what I remember hearing. )

None of the dancers were in all 7 videos. The dancer with purple hair and a bit of red that he pointed out is Shinah Chu, she was in Cherry, No Dot, Entrancing, Beauty Full and Playground. The choreographer(s) (usually Hwang Sooyeon whom is DC's performance director, and sometimes Kim Keeyeoun) were in a few of them. They are the 2 with Yoohyeon in For but neither are in the MV for No Dot (even though Sooyeon was a choreographer for it). It's a bit of a mixed bag, but yeah Dreamcatcher uses a lot of the same dancers for their MVs and the solo MVs :)

@@DennisKent I didn’t mean as every dancer was in all MVs. I just meant they all utilized the same dancers but in different capacities. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you for expanding on the choreographer information.
