"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. And as a bass player myself, I can tell you the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!

Thanks for checking out more Dreamcatcher, Wave. Champ is a big fan of DC and he's been following them for a few years now. I don't think he's done a reaction to Bonvoyage though. All of the title tracks have rock and metal influences while their b-sides span dozens of genres and sub-genres including R&B, EDM, Trap, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Pop, and much more.

I loved your reaction but I honestly couldn't enjoy it that fully because of the comments of that radioraffa on the twitch chat that thing should really be banned if it doesn't know how to respect other genres.

I had a hard time focusing on reaction bcuz how annoyed i was seeing that person in twitch chat ''radioraffa'' commenting so ignorant about kpop or DC in general 😬

I am okay with ignorance but not okay with people trying to actively put down the group. Fortunately, I am not the type to stoop to his level and curse his ass so Ima leave him be.

You know they're only reproducing stereotypes when they said "kawaii voice" which is wrong on too many levels to explain. Starting with the fact that it's Japanese and not Korean lol. I also got triggered by it sadly, bc their comments were just so stupid and uninformed that you couldn't even explain it to them bc they wouldn't understand it. ("Where's their instruments?" - quick Google search would've told you they don't have any bc it's a group and not a band etc etc)

Dreamcatcher is NOT your average kpop group, believe me. I got into them as a Spotify recommendation off of Babymetal, and thought: well, guess I like kpop now. When I went looking for other artists, I was very disappointed.
@Betonwolke Жыл бұрын
Yes, DC have been very special in K-pop since the beginning. Most K-pop bands are boring to me. Mostly just “bubble gum pop”. There are few exceptions, but they are limited to individual songs.
@meteorrunner Жыл бұрын
@@Betonwolke yeah, I legit couldn't believe how boring the other girl groups were. Like you said: I've enjoyed a few individual songs by other groups, but nothing like DC. I literally listen to their entire catalogue front to back.
@Betonwolke Жыл бұрын
@@meteorrunner Like me. I think I've heard at least all the studio versions by now. There's hardly a song by DC that doesn't appeal to me. Maybe a ballad or two. But only because I'm not that big of a fan of ballads. Nevertheless, they are well made. And I can even stand the rap parts, although I really don't like rap. Normally. I've never been a "fan" of any group. I've been listening to mostly punk/new wave/alternative/EBM and anything else along the lines that I like for decades. But what DC is doing to me scares me a bit... - it's addictive. But whatever, I love this group.

Same, just by following DC I was exposed to a lot of other kpop groups, and let me tell you after all this time I haven't started following any of them, DC is just built different. Also often when people say "check this group, they're not like the others", sometimes it's just because they're huge fans of the group 😄, but in the case of DC, when we're talking about kpop they are actually really different and shouldn't be dismissed just because they're "kpop". They have top tier producers and can tackle pretty much any genre.

Dreamcatcher aren't musicians, playing instruments. They're 7 talented vocalists and dancers with a Rock-EDM-(Nu)Metal signature sound. They incorporate dancing to a hard rocking sound in a similar way Babymetal did before them. But they also create amazing fusion music and their catalogue ranges from R&B, to Funk, up to Power J-Metal. They always make live band Rock versions of their songs and they're amazing performers onstage and funny lovable dorks offstage. Dreamcatcher aren't really K-Pop, they're more like K-Pop-Rock and they just belong to that industry, using all the good things and creativity of K-Pop.
