Just came from vlive 1. I thought siyeon was wearing all red at first and it made me giggle, because I know she's capable of doing so. Her pants look comfy af too. 2. Not gonna lie gahyeon looking thicc af and I'd like her to maintain that weight. 3. Dami's shoes look clean af and I just love her hair so much tbh. 4. I found this group randomly from an unpopular opinions video lmao, but they're so?? Good?? Like I was always a boy group fan, mostly BTS, mainly due to dancing (BTS' dancing leaves me weak btw, it's so!!! Good!!!) and honestly thought that girl groups were weaker because the people in charge gave them simple choreo that didn't give them any favors. I hate most of BlackPink's dancing for this reason. I found Loona from their dance cover of Fire (tho I knew about them pre debut and forgot about them) and learned that they have amazing choreography. But oh my god I love all of Dreamcatcher's choreo. Less than a month ago, I would've complimented them by saying that they "dance like boys" because my lizard brain thinks that simple choreo is girl dancing, but that's kind of dumb. They dance incredibly well. Simple as that.

I've been thinking about how I can reply to this, because I want to do it in a way where its more level, or not emotionally driven. But I want to reply, because the reasons I had for bringing up another group are very much a product of my Kpop fandom from a year ago. The reasons are that 1) that group's dancing just isn't for me, and I understand that probably more now than a year ago, since I've been slowly getting into other ggs and seeing that my dislike is purely a taste thing on my end. I tend to like darker concepts, and only really like sexy or pure girl crush dances when the concept is different than standard (Girls by NATURE is a good example of what I mean. It's a little sexy but the concept is pure horror and I love it). 2) for a long time I didn't know the intricacies of gg choreo. I thought that the only dancing that existed for ggs was the stuff that I wasn't a fan of personally. Dreamcatcher was the first time I really saw a consistent exception to that, and that eventually lead to my recent appreciation of girl groups in a way I couldn't picture myself doing a year ago. As well, I was starting a conversation in the original comment about the ways that girl groups are choreographed as a whole, and I think that the general fandom response of "we should never bring up another group ever" isn't productive, especially if we care about how girl groups and concepts are handled. Idk if I wrote it on twitter and tagged everyone without anything to start it I'd see how it could be unhelpful. But it's on a video of a group that, at the time, was my start into seeing how varied female idols were. So as much as people don't want fanwars I don't think that this would start one, and I don't think that expressing my personal taste is enough to have people not respect a comment that was more criticism of the way the industry can limit groups (which is important!) than anything related to individual members.

I can't believe these girls managed to learn this whole choreo in a few days before MV shooting. Not just choreo, but the formations, sharpness and sync are near perfect. Edit: One article says that it took them a few hours, another one saying it took them 4-5 days. Most likely the few hours one was for finalizing the dance and not exactly learning the whole choreo.
