I love Shadow because not only is it a jam, but it shows sides of both Dami and Siyeon that we normally don't get to see. Dami is known for her low voice but she goes HIGH in this one. Siyeon is known for her high voice but this song also brings out her lower register which is gorgeous and also very difficult depending on where your voice sits. It's a shame most casual listeners of Dreamcatcher won't ever hear this. Both girls deserve major props and recognition for their versatility!

I usually tell people to listen to the lyric video for the slow version so they can tell their voices apart but you guys nailed it without the lyric video for the slow version! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 It is so interesting how wildly different the line distribution is on both versions, especially considering that the thought or approach was "give Dami more to do on the slow ballad version", which for the time this came out must've been EXTREMELY unexpected for fans. It's BECAUSE of "Shadow" that newer fans know Dami is an amazing singer lol

I think they chose Dreamcatcher for this song because the theme of the show is very similar to that of the Nightmare story arc and BEcause. A sinkhole opens into an underground cavern where dwells a dark entity. That entity emits a black mist that releases the dark side of anyone who breathes it. The affected people also hallucinate and see others as persons who have wronged and hurt them in the past. Revenge is unleashed as the power of the dark side seduces them.

Siyeon lied with the line 'never gonna make you cry'. lol I got tears for the first version and for the second one, I really almost broke down. That was TOUGH. They have such AWESOME, GORGEOUS vocals! These same two amazing ladies covering of Hyuna and Dawn's 'Ping Pong' was WAY more fun than 'Shadow'! The video for 'Ping Pong' is just the two of them doing their silly thing, almost like a Self-Made mv...but it's ALMOST accurate to the original... :D

Bias Line!! Don’t get me wrong, I love both versions of Shadow. But, if I could only listen to one version it would be the slow version. It’s so freaking vulnerable feeling with the music composing/arranging and we get the Dami vocals- High Notes for the main rapper that we don’t get in the regular one. The tones and ranges that Siyeon uses between the two versions is insane. The regular is very DC with the rock. This and even their Ping Pong cover has me wanting more stuff from my bias line. They compliment each other so well.

I am super late watching this because I spent the last month hardcore prepping concert outfits and losing my sanity, but I wanted to say that the slow version I think is by far my favorite, as much as I love the normal version too. The amount of emotion they crammed into the vocals is insane, even without watching the video, and they really gave Dami a chance to shine as well.
