Scream is part 1 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. It is mostly showing the victim's perspective of (cyber)bullying, comparing it to a medieval witch hunt and a burning at the stake. The tree is the tree of language, and it grows black fruit for every hurtful thing people say. Note also the hand gesture, it is the devil's horns introduced by Ronnie James Dio as a symbol for metal, but it originally was a gesture in the middle ages to ward off the evil eye, tying into the witch hunt theme. I really enjoy the music, it's rock mixed with EDM. Dreamcatcher are always very creative, and they are in their own genre by this point. Part 2 is "Boca" and part 3 is "Odd Eye". You really should react to them as well.

OH MY GOODNESS YES YES! I am so sorry for being late but that's okay, I am so glad that you FINALLY reacted to this these girls are INSANE and you havent even scratched the surface with Dreamcatcher! And as you can see in the lyrics it shows the Members you should really check out a guide I really recommend either the 2020 version or the 2021-2022 version because they have the best moments in the guides and they show everyone pretty equally, legit everyone of them bring something to the table they all are just PHENOMENAL! This song is one of the most Iconic in K - Pop for many reasons as you can see the only problem is that Handong was not here she was actually stuck in China (She is Chinese) due to the Coronavirus plus she was in the middle of doing a Survival Show, also this is part of the Dystopia Trilogy it goes Scream, BOCA, and then Odd Eye and they are all AMAZING! I was hoping you'd react to more Dreamcatcher! They are the real deal. The follow up songs in this trilogy are Boca (mouth in spanish) and Odd Eye. All of the title tracks have rock or metal influences usually accompanied by some combination of EDM, Strings, and Piano and the dark themes and concepts are a Dreamcatcher staple. if in the beginning you were talking about the whole CA situation i just want you to know that part of the fandom has been actively trying to reach out to the company since their debut but tbh there was little to no response, however, last year some fans reached out to the english speaking members via a fancall event and the members said they understood why that was hurtful and have most probably been acting behind the scenes to try and actually convince the company to do smth about it and since then there has been no use of dreamcatcher imagery in any of their albums or promotional stuff

there are still problems with their name ofc, the fandom has petitions and everything for them to change their name, but realistically it's probably very hard for them to change it now and if their name it's not tied with any dreamcatcher imagery it can have different meaning and be seen as the literal meaning of it but ofc there was a connection to the dreamcatcher imagery in the past so tbh it's always going to be a controversial name, but we as a fandom can't do much more than this unfortunately

What are you talking about? actually, they already stopped using ACTUAL DreamCatcher imagery on their album and any promotion since 2018 'Alone In The City' Era, and not only that, by asking them to change the name of their group for me is kinda too much, it's nothing to do with CA anymore coz it's just a name...it's like trying to stop someone keep drawing dreamcatcher on paper or hanging an actual dreamcatcher in their room or car...as long as they do not insult or make fun of the Dreamcatcher, then it is not considered as CA...

So, it's a word that originates from outside the culture and is not a direct translation even. The word has been used across many media, from book titles, to song titles and even other music groups using the word, to television titles and I'm sure across other mediums. There is no exclusive ownership of the word by anyone, just a general adoption of it's meaning over the years due to the researchers writings and latter actual appropriation by other native tribes in the 60s and 70s that didn't originally have asabikeshiinh in their culture. Being that it also has the generic meaning of simply catching ones dreams, there's really no reason for anyone using the word Dreamcatcher to stop using it.

dreamcatcher songs are unique and would love to see you see more of them but I hope you check out pixy too another girl group that also really stands out to me especially their dance practice video for their debut song wings is so good they are still kind of new and doesn’t have a lot of fans yet but they are totally worth checking out even if they are not yet mainstream they are really good their dance kinda gives same energy as boy groups too which we don’t see often and it’s cool to see
