Curse of the Spider refers to the Curse of the Spider Queen, the main backstory of the Nightmare Series. The Spider Queen turned the girls into wraiths (Fly High), but the escaped when they got hold of the Grimoire (Goodnight). She kept chasing them in You and I, What, Piri and Breaking Out. Even though CotS was released in Raid of Dream (Deja Vu Era), it's evident that it was a song that didn't cut it to be a title song and it wasn't the one to conclude the Nightmare. But it's still one of the best Dreamcatcher songs. Also, there is a rare funny self-made legendary MV that shows Gahyeon as the actual DCC CEO, that was released only for the first InSomnia gathering in Seoul.

@@Heejinbunny I'm a big fan of Dreamcatcher's lore but unfortunately there aren't many sources of info because group's popularity is kinda low... For nightmare series you can find some lore just by searching on google/youtube "Dreamcatcher lore kpop" or smth like that. There are some wikifandoms, wattpads, blogs that analyze Nightmare's lore. Unfortunately, their lore is much bigger than this but is not covered that well. As far as I know, they have 4 different parallel universes (Nightmare, Dysopia/Utopia, Apocalypse and VersuS - in the last its first mentioned that these are parallel universes). They also have special releases like Deja Vu, Because, Full Moon, Over the Sky etc with their own lore but still related to the whole universe. And also you should absolutely check the R.o.s.e Blue MV - its an add song for a video game. You can find all the details of the MV's lore in the comment sections but be careful cause it's not a happy ending story. Every universe has its own lore and in the end all stories are connected. You can find some details by searching on google/youtube (Bookish Theories is a good channel to start with). There are many details to be covered, especially in the VersuS universe where they took the things to next level and organized ARGs, escape room games, treasure hunts, quizes , special scary/theory videos, even new characters(like ymenehcra99) who sent weird emails fans related to the lore to Dreamcatcher fans. For their next comeback they will prepare a new universe and of course we are excited to know what it will be about, but it will land next year, hope in winter-spring. I really wished they were more popular so people can see that K-pop can be more than music...

Finally. I've always wondered why DCC didn't take more opportunities to release official tour recordings, especially with how many world tours they have done. They could have released a DVD full of performances by now. I do realize they have used clipped concert footage for certain MV's before (Fairytale for example), and have held online concerts, but rarely an official concert recording of one song from one performance on tour

I've been listening to k-pop for a year now, mostly 4th gen girl groups. This song popped up in my KZbin recommendations in a period I was feeling kinda low and lost a lot of motivation and confidence. Then I started to listen more to them cause their concept is kinda unique in the K-pop industry that became.. very boring-ish with songs for the charts not the fans. Now I'm a proud insomnia, motivated better than ever by their journey. I learned a lot from their journey from a small 'unknown' group to one of the most appreciated k-pop performers with very talented and hard-working girls. Determination, constancy, a lot of work but most importantly - enjoying the work. They really love what they do and put a passion on it. Also the relation with the fans is so natural and strong. Because of the strong relation dreamcatcher-insomnia now I appreciate more people around me(family, friends) cause now I know we are stronger together. One day I will be in the crowd for one of their concerts. I hope I'm not too late for that...
