My theory: as seen in the end of choreography all girls are standing in line with Gahyeon in the middle, they're standing opposite to their hair colors (Yoohyeon-Handong, Jiu-Dami, Sua-Siyeon) i think the girls are teared into 2 parts (normal and shadow) and Gahyeon is the only one that managed to escape this so she doesn't have a doppelganger (idk if I said it right) Edit 1: at the beginning we can see gahyeon and Jiu reflecting each other, then suddenly Gahyeon grabs Jiu neck to probably k*** her, bc she knows that Jiu is a doppelganger, then at the hotel scene we see gahyeon smiling then it suddenly drops which can mean she's trying to blend in with doppelgangers in order to destroy them from the inside. Edit2: scene with handong standing while the half of her body is laying behind the courtain (propably de*d)can mean that she is an doppelganger and she have slayed her other (normal) half.

So, if "BE" is the Hanja character that means "sadness", and we consider "cause" as a noun, that would make the meaning of this song's title as "The Cause of Sadness". because has been my favourite dreamcatcher song since it was released, but today i found out it's inspired by the movie US and my mind is blown.... i've seen the movie but i never made the connection or noticed how the girls had doppelgangers in the video lol i feel pretty silly. the line "its fine if you reject me, my other voice will call for you instead" is so creepy now, also gahyeon being jiu's mirror image that strangles her. also something not related to US is the BE in BEcause sounds like 悲 which is a chinese character meaning sadness, so the reason the girls are putting on the mask to deceive and seduce their object of attention is all because of sadness, which is super deep cos people with attachment issues from childhood may become toxic to seek attention in their adult life (kinda related to US tho since the main character did deceive her doppelgangers parents and her future husband) anyway i thought i'd share this since its changed how i view the song and i hope anyone who also doesn't know can find this :)
