to some people in the comments saying she used autotune and that she isn't that good --- in dreamcatcher's case, autotune is often used to give a certain effect on the members' voices to fit a certain vibe, or to make the vocals sound cleaner and better mixed with the instruments. however, dreamcatcher company does NOT alter their pitch, vocal tone, or overall technique. in this cover, you can clearly hear siyeon's breath and vibrato (which is impossible to obtain through a program). a clear sign the autotune is being used is that there is no tension on your face and/or the singer's mouth isn't wide enough for the note they're singing to be real. even the most experienced of singers have a little tension on their faces and make certain movements with their mouths to enhance their pronounciation or add a certain texture to their voice, which you can see siyeon is doing here. if you don't like this specific cover, there's no problem! siyeon has many other great covers --- such as the one of exo's overdose or alan walker's faded :) hope this helped!

Her pronunciation is incredible. Most kpop artists who have covered this you could tell an accent, and even then the ones who dont cant pronounce the "th" sound that's super hard in english and siyeon just destroyed it, it was so incredibly fluent, I couldn't pronounce it this well

Living in SE Asia, I speak like three languages which are Chinese, English and Malay. It takes alot of practice to pronounce english properly especially if your native tongue is any asian language tbh ( Chinese/Japanese/Korean etc.) And it's still not perfect, our native accent tends to stick with us.

There's something about Siyeon's cover that makes it the most impactful and unique to me compared to any other cover. Many idols did really well and may even be better vocally but, I still like Siyeon's the best because there's just something that I can't explain why, it just has a magical touch to it that the others don't. Actually I don't really like this song, not an alladin fan. But after I know of dreamcatcher's history, I couldn't help but crying for every line she sang. And somehow, the song has become a beautiful and meaningful song. I decided to be insomnia, and protect these girls so they can continue singing on stages, like the other insomnias. Checked the orig and at least a dozen covers (side by side, studio monitors and headphones). They were all good in their own ways (it's a good song, hard to find a bad cover), but this feels like Siyeon understands, means what the song is about. *Her version is radiating STRENGTH and an unstoppable rising CONFIDENCE* The others had plenty of emotions too, mostly sadness.. some tried to turn it to r&b, but none had this boiling volcano feeling like Siyeon's. *Hope the composer @AIMenken will hear this* ( and "We all lie" too :))

I've done the same thing. I haven't found a better cover than this. While Siyeon's skills are undeniable, I think that we shouldn't forget whoever did mixing and mastering. That person made everything feel united, unlike many covers I've heard where the vocals have been a separate entity.

This sounds crystal clear on monitors, like she's right in front of me. When i listen to the orig that sounds muffled, muted. As far as vocals and *delivery* (for me) this is second to none, but liked NC.A a lot.

Okay I just watched a bunch of covers and this is THE BEST one. Her tone is so smooth both low and high she transitions so nicely. Sometimes the other singers have good low notes but once they go higher you can see the effort and it's not as smooth and kinda shrill, but when they have to belt they're good.
