The plastic pen is to pick up the ABs better. Also, the dividers pale color is a cover. Peel them off, and the dividers are crystal clear.

I have 10 DD in my stash bc I love Kurtis Rykovich. I completed Rapunzel a few months ago and I hated the satin canvas and the glue is so slippery. I loved how it turned out but not my favorite. I prefer Diamond Art Club.

Thank you so much for your honest review. I have 3 of the older style canvases but I’m too nervous to work on them. 😬 It looks like they have made an improvement on the canvas as I know a lot of people we’re having issues with over saturation & clarity of symbols. The creasing at the end of the canvas sucks though. The new divider tray looks too cumbersome to use. Those drills would be everywhere if I used it to DP & try to pour them back into the storage container. Such a shame about the stickers too. It looks like DD are listening & trying to make improvements. I’ve yet to see a post review of a completed new DD canvas, so would be interested in your thoughts once one of the DP’s are completed.

I haven't purchased from Dreamer Designs because of all the concerns I've heard from so many. I've looked at their new kits and Tarot Town is one that definitely caught my eye. I just haven't bit the bullet, yet. Maybe. Thanks for the unboxing and review of the upgrades!

Hi Randee, Thank you for sharing! I heard terrible things about Dreamer Designs but absolutely love their selection. When everyone started talking about them making changes, I finally decided to give them a try and placed my first order on Black Friday. I received them pretty quickly but haven't opened them yet. I am a landscape person ☺️ so I got Bringing Home The Christmas Tree and Lighting The Way. Can't wait to see how it goes. I did see Tarot Town and almost got it, but my mom loves lighthouses, and I figured I would get that one instead. Will be watching to see what you think once you start one of these!

I purchased 2 kits about 1.5 years ago. I did one and my biggest problem was the static in almost all the drills. The canvas turned out great and I was pleased with the result. I just got 2 kits in their sale. I had admired Fandango and the leopard one for a long time. I was a little disappointed they were the old kits when they came but they looked fine. I saw and liked the castle very much but my wallet refused to hand over the credit card. Hope it turns out well for you. Peace and love abide with you 💕

Hey Randee 😁 Always LOVE your videos, cause I believe you're authentic. My first square was a DD, and it's still on my wall after 3+ years! FORGET about the handle, girl, lololo 🤣🤣🤣 Make sure the handle is taut outside of the box before you slide the bag back into the box! The old strip was actually a sticker material except it was terribly difficult to get off and when I stuck it on it was a mess to take it off the boxes. I would say I'm actually happy with the changes they made. I don't care for any trays any of the companies send anyways so we just need the good canvas, drills and sticker sheet sir!

My biggest issue with DD was the coating on their canvas. My cat couldn’t stop licking it!! He never does that with DAC canvases. I would have to put it in the laundry room with the door closed when I wasn’t working on it. Haven’t ordered any yet from the latest, but hoping that has changed. I have weird pets. My little dog walks sideways sometimes! Lol

I just made my first purchase from Dreamers Desing but I have no idea if those are newer or older kits. I purchase One Love and Carnival. I could not decide if I wanted to try this company, because I live in Costa Rica and the kits are more expensive for us, but in the end with a discount code, each kit was like $41, so I finale decided to give it a go. I'll see first hand the quality in a few days (7 to 14 busines days, I think).

I have never ordered from Dreamer Designs. I have a bad habit of once I try a company/shop and like it, I tend to stick with them. These canvases look really nice though. I might have to go out of my comfort zone and try them out. Not crazy about their tool kit, but even with DAC I don't really use theirs either. 😂 Would love to see what you think about them after working on one of these!

Thank you for your review. For the cost of the diamond paintings “hoping the quality is there” shouldn’t be a thing.I have just finished two paintings from them and was disappointed with drills, symbols and colours. Looks better , but will wait for finished paintings

Randee, I had the same issues you had with DD. It’s good to see the symbol clarity is better and some of the AB’s are better. However, I don’t like the fact that both of your canvases were crumpled on one end and the sticker sheets were damaged. I too hate the handle. Love the image of the rainbow painting though. 🌈

I'm here for the handle, Randee🤪 but most importantly, your honest review and voice. I have a couple of DD canvases that I wont even attempt, due to a traumatic experience with my first DD (a little dramatic, I am aware). Having said that I ordered ONE of their newest releases to see if they have taken any of the constructive criticism and made changes. They do have some really nice images but I've been so hung up on that "one" canvas who did me wrong *clutches pearls*. Thanks again, love your voice - have a fantastic weekend!

I am a little sad, I really LOVE the Tarot Town image and had high hopes for their new designs. I have purchased 2 from them and I said I would not buy another, just my personal preference. Then I saw they were revamping their kits and considered trying them again with this very image. I am just not really sure I want to 😢

I agree with the handle.. its useless. working on old kits for their events. did tweet dreams, seasons greetings and now fandango. no real problems but cant wait to do new kits. awesome images. saw the rainbow one and liked but didn't get. I've been thinking about Tarot Town but was afraid of the render. I hope you work on this soon because I'd love to see how it turns out. I took am a Rykovich fan but also have found it difficult to like DD's canvases. Red Riding was a heartbreaker. Thank you for your honest and non sugary review. It's very refreshing and informative. Makes me feel like I'm not the only one with these complaints. ❣️

I hooted when you were talking about the handle! I hate those dang things! I cut them off. And when you were talking about going to Shay’s I was waiting for you to say, “I’m gonna put this canvas in a Craftibly tube!” 😂😂 I have ordered 2 canvases from Dreamer Designs. Both were crammed into the box which infuriated me and the stickers were crumbled up and stuck to each other and the protective plastic. I’m working on one of the canvases now, which is a square, and so far so good. But you’re right about the ABs, slim pickings there. I don’t care for their tool kits either. I wish those were an option. With the money spent on the handle and the tool kits they could improve their kits. DD has several Kurtis Rykovich paintings that I would love to have but I hate how the skin color is rendered.

Bought twice from them recently. The tool kit is different now.. white trays, crappy pale pink wax, no brush. No stickers for the start and end date and only ones for the symbols. Some canvases were wrinkled, one was soft, one was stiff, box bent completely in half for my larger one :(

Butter, I love lrg painting too. What I'm noticing is that a lot of companies are doing is more color blocking. I really love confetti because the end result is so beautiful. Which company would you recommend.

Hey Randee, The first is not my style but a beautiful picture. The second on is kind of funny I almost order that one. It's one I kept going back and forth with I saw a unboxing there is film on both sides of each divider. Once she took those off they clicked into place. I wouldn't use the dividers too dangerous for me. I was surprised to see so little ABs for the second one. Take care and thank yoy

I did radiant rainbow and my canvas looked like that when I got it, All wrinkle like that took a long time for it to go straight. The drills those are another thing I did not care for the black drills 310's . They were too small for the squares so I had a lot of gapping and between all of it it didn't fit properly very aggravated with that I hope my other canvas that I have doesn't do that but it probably will cuz I ordered them at the same time I'm kind of hesitant on ordering from them again as well but they have pretty images

I've always hated that stupid handle. Why, why, why??? If they minused out the handles they could use the money to better their kits. I ordered two on black Friday and got them on Tuesday. The handle is kinda dumb. I did a DD kit last year for Halloween and it was awful. I even had to just guess at some of the symbols because I couldn’t read them at all. I love the purple tray but I sure wish it had a spout. So I won’t be using it. I believe those dividers have plastic cling in the outside of them. When you peel them off, they’re completely clear and are supposed to fit in the trays better.

Last evening I finished my very first DD painting and it will be my LAST! For what it cost me I cannot believe what a trainwreck it was. The square drills are a joke, and the gapping and misalignment almost made me quit diamond painting. Curious that you said DD is working hard to make improvements. From what I’ve gathered here on YT, DD ignores their customer complaints and fixes nothing. My only experience with them is that when I emailed them about the gapping they ignored it completely. Is there a post review for either of these kits? I wonder if your grade of C- was degraded to an F- after you struggled with the drills. I agree the handle is a PITA and what happened to your sticker sheet was unforgivable. Also the amount of trash drills filled a small container. Very bad experience and it’s a shame because the artwork is stunning.

I just started to work on a dreamer design canvas, I only did a large square of it and I ran out of color, was upset that I ran out of color so soon, I notice that the picture looked a bit off, so I made sure I had the right symbol and dmc code, I did, then I even looked online for the dmc color code to see what the color was, it matched, my husband even said the picture looks funny, I said I know, but it’s the right color and symbol, then he says to me, are you sure you have the right color x, I said companies don’t put on duplicate symbols on there canvas, to confusing, I’ve never come across a kit yet that had two of the same symbols on it in different color, but for the heck of it I looked , and what did I find, several symbols were the exact same only in different color, once I find a symbol I stop looking , never entered my mind there would be more…very upset that I had to take several hours peeling off wrong color for the right one, so I guess I’ll start looking…lol..

Geraldine, they stated that the kits were “new and improved”. I figured I would give them a chance, and try the newer kits. I didn’t have all negative feedback, but there were quite a few issues. I’m just posting my honest review. Thanks for watching.
