How the hell am I supposed to focus on work when I have the sound of the infinite cosmos thrusting me into a mental state of deep existential ponderance of what it means to actually be a human, tied to a life of repetitive work that only furthers a system of consumption which is destroying the very planet which brought us life and the ability to even question the nature of existence.

That Crypthios track tickled my ears! There are no words for how much I love a haunting, melancholy saturated melody that literally speaks to my very being. That was my initial draw to ambient music 30+ years ago in the Brian Eno/Harold Budd/Robert Rich era of ambient. I remember listening to Hearts Of Space each week and paying very close attention to the introduction and end artist list so that I could take note of the songs that gave my ears that same little tickle. Thank you for making it so much easier to find music that speaks the language of my soul!

Down to their last ship, the Ukar in a final act of desperation to avoid total destruction by their relentless pursuers, turned on their prototype hyperdrive and in less than a blink of an eye they dissapeared before their enemies eyes. At first it was deemed a success, the captain, crew, and 25 billion inhabitants rejoiced! But soon the ships engineers discovered a fatal flaw that would forever seal everyone's fate. The ship used more fuel and energy that was predicted to enter hyperspace however, there was not enough left to slow down and bring the ship back... As the minutes turned to hours, the hours to days, the days to years, and years into centuries, the Ukar tried everything possible to escape the void, but nothing would work. How far have they traveled? No one knew. How long could they survive? Well the ship could sustain a species indefinitely. Over time the ship became quiet, as if a universal harmony took over, the Ukar seemed to enter a dreamlike state. Individuals started reporting stange phenomenon, some claim they saw things flutter in and out of existence before their very eyes. Others claim to have seen things simply go through solid walls and floors. Eventually as the millenia ticked on the Ukar no longer spoke, most didn't even wake from bed and stayed in a dreamlike state until they died. This is the curse of the Ukar, a tale only able to be told by those still hanging on in the void of hyperspace.
