The changes are seemless, and it never feels like you hear the same thing twice! This is less of a demo of a synth, but more of a demo of a musician.

Really smart move. I had so many synths before the matriarch, and no Grandmother before really understanding Semi modular format is perfect to learn on and so characterful.

I have a grandmother and I have to admit 30% of his sound here is the reverb he is using, it's producing very interesting effects that you don't get close to otherwise

I love those moments where you enter in some unusual chord for the arp, and then quickly rush to the controls to change something drastic and shift the tone. It's just that rolling with the mistakes but between the notes being played and the sound of the synth itself, I love it.

I want one too! I was looking at the mother 32 and dfam bundle but I am just not sure.
@sebastianlock71502 жыл бұрын
@@necronorris Moog Sound Studio 1 was my second synth purchase and first Moog. It is most definitely worth it if you're looking for semi-modular goodness/exploration and love that Moog sound. Mother-32 has a very powerful sequencer and it's got many different uses thanks to the patch bay. DFAM really takes the cake though. It really comes alive when constantly tweaked and played. Either way, I would seriously recommend it to anybody, especially anybody looking to jump into synthesis.
@benvigs2 жыл бұрын
@@necronorris just looking at the Moog Sound Station bundle 🤩 Follow your 💜! I don’t own either Dfam or Mother 32, but I love the simplicity and monster sound of the Gmother (I have a Werkstatt as a sidecar and that has been really great). I’m a keyboardist, so I love having the keys and the grab and go nature of the Gmother.
@necronorris2 жыл бұрын
@@benvigs I went with the grandmother but also ordered a DFAM haha. I play classical guitar, and like...no keys. Super steep learning curve but I am pretty excited. The GM got here today and I have been tinkering with it, DFAM arrives on Sunday. Wish me luck lol.
