Wow, I don't know what it was about this story, but I don't think any DS video has captured my attention as much. The whole time I was hoping, and feeling a sinking feeling. This was excellent.

I understood every word and felt everything. You narrated very well but the pain of the story is so powerful. I've been watching videos of Dreaming Spanish for 48 days now and have more than 111hours and I'm glad I waited until now to see this because my unerstanding has vastly improved and it felt so beautiful to hear the story and understand it this way. I am not confident enough to express my own thoughts in Spanish but I can't wait to do it soon. You're absolutely my favourite Alma, I hope to see more of your videos.

Excellent. You did a great job telling the story. Your way of speaking is so clear and understandable, but yet you don't talk too slow. We greatly appreciate your contributions. Also, in the days of Covid, this story is particularly relevant to me, since one of my worries has been that if my wife got Covid, she would be admitted to the hospital, and since visitors are not allowed ... Since we are fully vaccinated and boosted now, that is much less of a worry, but it still chills me to think of the first year of the pandemic.

I didn't bike (road cycling) for two years because I don't know what to do if I crash. Go to the hospital or not. So I stayed away to avoid the unnecessary risk.

I love this. I saw the words short story and immediately clicked on the video. Stories are my favorite part of language learning. Though I have a long way to go before I am able to read short stories in Spanish.

Very sad story. What was the point? That the husband should not have acted so passively and should have made a bigger deal out of the situation?
@Marshblocker

The story has a Kafkaesque feel to it where the main character (the man) just wants to see his wife (a very simple request!) but he cannot due to factors not within his control (bureaucracy of institutions e.g. the hospital and the language barrier)
