Oh a future suggestion after several arcs, One Piece has a sound track were various characters (and villains) sing their own theme songs. The Strawhat crew having multiple than any other character, a lot of them are a great to listen to. Unfortunately at this stage many are spoilery so I'll return with this again after.

It's SO good. I always thought D'Artagnan was such a cool sounding name, too. When those horns hit the main theme and everyone reveals their Musketeer colors? Dude. I'm going to have to do a reaction to that movie. (When I find time!)

God its so good to see your OP reactions again X3 I really continue to love all your little thoughts about it. The Manga certainly has some advantages on its own. For example its much more fast paced which adds a certain chaos to scenes like the logue town escape that fits the series perfectly and really adds to the feeling of a roller coaster of a good time. On the other hand I absolutely agree with you that the voice actors and the soundtrack/soundeffects in the anime are absolutely bombastic and I couldnt imagine going through certain scenes without atleast having the music play in my mind and knowing how that "Shishishi" of luffys laugh sounds

At the time of this recording I hadn't started reading the manga, however, I have been slowly working through the East Blue, and I feel like it has a magic inherent of its own, and I can't wait to talk more about that at the end of EP 61! It's so good to be back! Now I have to at least make sure I've watched the anime enough beyond what the OPLA S2 will cover!

I am absolutely both happy to be back, and thrilled to be back in this world. I'm still working on recording ahead, but I'll confess a lot of effort is centered around finishing up Delicious in Dungeon so I can really give this my full attention for the next arc. In the meantime, I've been thoroughly enjoying reading the manga (which I think I finally show off next episode as I recorded these months ago now). I find myself fortunate reacting to One Piece at a time in my life when I myself have traveled the world, tried my hand at writing and self-published, sang and acted on stage most of my life, and even tried my hand at drawing. I feel like I have so many anchor points (pardon the pun) to engage with One Piece, and I find there's so much more than one thing about it that is exceptional. It is quite literally like looking in a mirror and seeing myself. I suspect many other people feel the same, and that is among the finest magic of this show and a great story. Thank you so much for the welcome home. I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd rather be!

Hi there! This is my first time watching this channel and I just wanted to say welcome to the awesomeness that is one piece. I’ll stick around to experience you experience greatness. Have a good time man. Don’t be afraid to ask questions for us to clarify information for you. Also not really a spoiler, the man who showed Sanji the big tuna fish, the big guy with the fin on his head is actually half fishman half human. This just shows of how much small details that Oda puts are so cool.

Hey, glad to have you aboard this little adventure! I do love the little details everywhere. I love that I can watch something, and someone else will have picked up on something I missed. Between multiple layers of storytelling and elements that can be freely interpreted, it's been a blast to take it all in. I consider myself fortunate to be able to watch and share these experiences with the community. It has absolutely made this an already incredible journey!

@@Noxiddar much appreciated. I started watching and reading after episodes 1071 came out and now after 9-10 months later I’m caught up with everything. I caught up faster than I should have and I got spoiled some, but overall it’s still great!

@gavin5724 That's awesome. I initially wanted to just be surprised by the anime, but at the pace I was going, I kept having people telling me what was going on or different in the manga, and so I either experience the manga second-hand, or I read it for myself. I was going to wait for the time skip to start, but I think I'll just read the arcs as I finish reacting to it. I'll probably end up doing a whole separate video on how manga has changed the way I experience anime and storytelling at some point. But upon buying some box sets for upcoming projects and existing ones, I can safely say the experience is familiar, yet far more intimate where it's just the mangaka and myself being presented with their unique vision. I look forward to reading more!

welcome back - im actually gonna get started on my own videos like this finally soon once a week for certain things, huh? that sounds way more realistic & approachable for me to tackle as well
@Noxiddar
@Noxiddar 2 ай бұрын
I definitely think it's pretty manageable that way. Now, I record all week apart from one day that I edit and upload the video. I'll be around Ep. 150-170 by next July (2025) on KZbin, but with a year to record I could probably be around 300-500 Episodes in recordings. That'll also give me enough backlog to up the number of Episodes per video for the next year. That's the plan! I'll give you a sub now, but let me know for sure when you start! I'd be happy to join the crew!

dude, like, there's no harm in you comparing this dang ol' series to others - i've found myself doing so all the time in my conversations when i started on one piece to the effect of saying how much it means to me & that i love it for that, if that makes sense
@Noxiddar
@Noxiddar 2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I'm not sure what I said to prompt this comment. But I probably meant comparison by way of quality. I see too many people use comparing to "cut something down", but my comparisons are generally to "elevate and enhance the experience across both", or to conjure familiar feelings, like I did with The Three Musketeers. I'll give an example. In one of the earlier reactions I mentioned how Fairy Tail really caught my interest. Do you suppose the people that commented on that were giving me proverbial high fives? No, they were telling me Hiro Mashima isn't good, or not comparable to Eiichiro Oda. And I'll eventually have a lot to say about Hiro Mashima in time, but that's generally what I say when I talk about not making comparisons. I don't do value judgments like that. It's a low form of criticism that isn't based on anything interesting to say, but rather just trying to qualify a knee-jerk reaction as valid.

It's SO good to be back and especially to see familiar names popping up in the comments. Many mysteries lie ahead, but now the goal is to view beyond the scope of the Season 2 Live Action before it comes out. Judging from the casting announcements, I have a LOT of ground to cover since I didn't recognize a lot of them!

@@Noxiddar what im a bit worried about the season 2 of live-action, its the little spoilers like they did with the first season (like Garp) There are a rumor about a certain character that are not suppoed to be revealed so early so idk when the season 2 will pop but i hope that you could go a bit further as possibile XD
@Noxiddar
@Noxiddar 2 ай бұрын
Assuming that it won't come out until next year (hopefully August), I'll have this summer break and next to just focus on recording. It didn't really bother me in season 1 because I hadn't watched the anime (or as much of it) yet, so it was only really a spoiler for people in the anime. I'm still not too worried if they mention things outside the scope of the current arcs. Mostly because introducing teases or characters earlier generally means it'll flow differently in the anime and will overall have a different vibe. Like, I'm very much looking forward to meeting Garp in the anime, and I know it'll feel really different, but I'll appreciate it all the same! I'll make some community posts throughout my One year (weekly uploads) challenge to let people know when I've finished certain arcs, and so people will eventually start to see something where I'm posting episode 77 on KZbin, but I'm actually recording Episode 146 or something like that. I'm excited about this approach. I started this journey to watch one piece, not just work away at an editor for hours every day to make watching One Piece take as long as possible. I'm learning! Haha.
@UltimateGamerCC
@UltimateGamerCC 2 ай бұрын
dunno how far ahead you recorded, but 54 to late 61 or 62 is filler. my guess is Oda was taking a break between Sagas and planning his next move, so the Anime needed weeks in between before it could continue.
@JustEatHerCake
@JustEatHerCake 2 ай бұрын
I love that filler but it is skippable and if you skip it does leave you in a weird place on episode 61. Probably better just to watch on your own time but I'd be happy to see
@Nastyn1nja808
@Nastyn1nja808 2 ай бұрын
The anime adapted 2 Chapters an Episode leading up the arpund here ep. 50 So they Needed to slow Down. These Early years Oda took almost NO breaks only The magazine Breaks and Holidays. Nowadays he breaks every 3 weeks so once a Month or so. But that man is Crazy. he probably Works and Future Movies or Side Art projects and recently he devoted lots of time to The OPLA.
@Noxiddar
@Noxiddar 2 ай бұрын
So, I have this thing about filler. I don't mind it. To me, it isn't filler. I'm watching the One Piece anime, not charting the animated manga. I get that views may drop, and nothing will stop anyone from letting me know I can skip, but I initially took a break from One Piece and focused on Delicious in Dungeon because the comments were pretty much devoted to discussing filler and nothing at all about what I'd just seen. It was making me feel like people were indirectly telling me I was wasting my time, so I figured a few weeks wasting their time would feel just, but... that's also when I found out about my Dad. So, no more forced breaks. If there are 1111 episodes, then there will be reactions to 1111 episodes of One Piece. "You have no enemies" has become my "There is no filler to skip." Haha.

HAHA! I usually have these inadvertent blurts of Sean Connery-isms where I'll take a natural word like "Single" and say it like "Shingle" on accident. So imagine how much it broke my brain in that scene to cast a Counter-Connery-ism and pronounce "Shingle" as "Single" first. 🤣
