Interesting cover. IMO none of the covers really capture the phantom. This one is good. It's mysterious. Which I really like, but I feel if the phantom is really going to teach Christine, his part should be raw power. Which I only ever hear in the opera singers, which shows the degree of difficulty.

THIS version is the only superior version. Will not find a better version. The male singer for Nightwish is terrible. Tarja's voice was limited due to him. Shame Nightwish got rid of Tarja when she was the only reason to listen to Nightwish.

Tarja is a flat singer... Even as an opera singer she is very limited.

@@ixachilanca She has power in her vocals. I don't care how many Octaves a singer can hit. If she has zero power in her vocals, those Octaves are useless and worthless. Tarja has power in the 3 Octaves she can hit. That is better than a singer who can hit 5 or 6 Octaves and have zero power from the vocal chords. Listening to a singer who can hit 6 Octaves and have no power in her voice is cringe. I don't understand why people applaud singers who don't have a powerful voice just because they hit a higher pitch, a pitch they can't hold and don't have the power behind it. Assuming this is Sandra Schleret singing, her voice is very powerful. I have not come across any other singers who can sing and hold a powerful note the way she can. Tarja comes close but I have not come across any others with this degree of control and power. Aside from perhaps the movie Amadeus which is 35 years old.

Her voice needs to be powerful and if she were to go out of tune which is probably for a split second, I guarantee you that no one will notice with her metal singing. Metal requires a powerful voice. How many shows in a week do they do without rest? Most Opera singers give their voices a rest. Metal singers do not. Most lose their voice from so many shows. Some do 2 shows a night,
