BTW, the grounds are a lot more lush now than what is shown in the video. Where before everything looked spartan, now the trees and bushes are full, green and flowering. It's a new resort, and needed a couple of years for the vegetation to fill in. It's more pretty now.

Having a family vacation at this resort, would you say it’s worth it? Kinda pricey I’m still on edge about it

The resort is definitely worth the money, however This resort was extremely quiet when we visted.... Not a bad thing because it was just me and my wife! If my kids was with us I think they would have been bored. Not as high energy as some of they resort in Mexico & Dominican Republic... Food, service & Drinks are awesome. You must book excursions with Alex on the beach! He's the best!!! ENJOY

Fly in to Liberia, and it's only 90 minutes from the airport. It's a lot drier than the east coast (lots of cacti actually), but on the other hand that means no humidity and sunshine every day. The hotel grounds themselves are irrigated and have lots of tropical plants. I was initially put off by the arid brown landscape, but soon learned to appreciate my hand washed laundry that dried overnight on the balcony. I think it took a week for my socks to dry in Mexico. Dry also means a lot fewer mosquitoes. It's often above 30 deg C, but dry heat and lots of pools so not bad at all. If you want rain forest, just buy an excursion and you can go hiking up the side of lush tropical volcanoes (highway travel time is a bit of a drag though). It's an extremely quiet place in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful. Not the same vibe as a party place like Riviera Maya. The sit-down restaurants were all very good food, but the buffet had limited selection (which is typical for Dreams). The staff were excellent. One weird drawback: the bathrooms are very exposed to the whole room, and have only partly frosted glass doors that don't offer anywhere near as much privacy as you would like. Imagine glass shower doors that don't lock, with no overhead fan. A stupid design that required some embarrassing family negotiations: "I'm going to the bathroom, so draw the room curtain and blare the TV for a few minutes." Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

I ended up going to this resort last June it was a blast! That hour and a half drive to the resort wasn’t to much fun in the rain lol but other than that it was worth every penny. I can also agree with you about the bathrooms in the room, thank god i had my Own room!
