INFP here. I started my own gardening / mowing business about 8 months ago and I've never been so happy in my life. I take my dog Misty to work with me and people love my work. Most of my customers are referrals from other customers. I'm also poised to publish my first video game for android devices. So good to be your own boss and not have to answer to some asshole. I will never go back to a 9 to 5 :)

Infp- discouraged from staying in art school and told not to waste my time on writing and get better at math and practical skills. I listened. I’m 27 and horrible depressed and miserable. I worked in a factory, a gas station, retail, pharmacy, and I’d cry often and feel so frustrated before every shift. I am sure that all the other people will feel the same! It is a funny thing, but people follow you were your real passion lies. You do not have an idea how AMAZING and SPECIAL you sounded in your comment! It is energy. That which makes you feel passion wakes the universal life energy up. LOVE. Can relate 200% and MORE!! Studied Chemistry for 5 years as a rational decision. Worked in a lab for 3 months. Quit my job. I've never felt worse in my life than in these three months. Every day I woke up and I had this huge inner resistance that I would have rather killed myself than going to work. I'm 24 now and it feels like I've wasted 5 years of my life. It's like a blackout and all that I've learned on the way regarding science is gone. My parents would rather want me in a steady job that pays well, but I was always dreaming big.. of chasing my passions. Since I made the decision, to follow a different path.. my own path.. I feel more elevated and liberated than ever. I'm a writer, composer and video creator. I don't know where I'll end up, but I'm trusting the process. Excited for the future!!

I'm an ENFP. I always knew that I didn't want to spend my life working at an office, and guess where I am today??? WORKING AT AN OFFICE 🙄🙄🙄🙄 But I've been thinking a loooot about pursuing my passion, which is music, and I'm thinkin reaaaal hard about being a music producer so I can do my own stuff and maybe become an artist. My parents would ever tell me to do this, of course, they are sensors and judgers.. my mom would looove me working at a bank office or something like that.. she spent her life working at the same place for two fucking decades. Only thinking about it makes me feel like panicking, ughh... I'm still not so sure about this because I don't know if I prefer being an actual singer and performing (I loooove it!!!) but I want to give it a try on music production cause I've always been soooo mesmerized about people like Timbaland, creating aaaawesome music and just letting that creativity flow!!!!! I have so many ideas and I know I loooove music and that I'm really talented, and plus, lots of people have told me to invest in it, so, why am I taking so long to try it??? I think I listen to my mom too much.. she's an ESFJ and when I talk about it with her, she gives me the weird look... She basically tells me all the time that I need to grow up and be more responsible, that I'm already 25 and that I should be married.... Aaaaaaaa I hate thiissss!!!!! Dude, you're encouraging me so much to try this!!! I totally get what you say about doing something you're really passionate about, because I'm like that with music, and I know I'm unstoppable when I'm doing something that I love!!! So I have to top being afraid and give it a try! I don't want to become old and think "what would have happened if I tried being a music producer???" I WANNA TRY IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!! YOU GIVE ME SOOO MUCH HOOOPE IN THIS SJ WORLD aaaaaaaa Thank you!!!! ❤️

I am getting ready to go to college, it's a field that i could be interested in and also could not. I agree to finish college and take a job in it. But for the future i just see myself becoming a writer and a painter. So this was a conflicting thing in my mind. My dad doesn't want to push me into some field, he just wants me to make a plan... Hey, ENFP here! I want your opinion about smthg. I am still a teenager but people expect me to choose my future job already. Being an Enfp 9-5 jobs are not even an option but I am not that of an artistic type I might say (maybe that's bcs I wasn't taught any even if I wanted to) back to the point I love traveling, seeing new places, their culture, I also like learning and speaking new languages. I adore every single moment I spent out of my neighborhood. In short, I am up for jobs that includes traveling, seeing the world, interacting with people maybe :) but the only one that I could think of AND persuade my parents and family was being a pilot. If I can pull that off I am thinking of moving to France and persue my dream from there. I already started to take French lessons twice a week :D So my question is "Can you think of any jobs that's a better fit or that I might like?"

Hello I'm ENFP and i'm just in my first year of college. I live in a slightly different country than you are. In high school, we never did chemical experiments and we never cut frogs in biology. Let me put it this way, my world is not an American dream. I try to keep a balance between what I want to do and have a stable job. That's why as an ENFP I want to become a soldier, I was a scout, I like to run, exercise and shoot. But I also want to write a book, play RPG, draw, become a karate trainer and ride horses, cook sweets. I'm at a loss now because I'm changing my studies. I am very unsure of the future which is very stressful. Maybe the military is not the perfect job for my personality, but it will give me stability, maybe a bit boring but safe.

I find myself exactly in this position between pursuing my passion and looking for a job because I want to marry my boyfriend, but we can't get married until we can afford a decent living, we both come from privileged families and we both are designers, he and interactive designer and I a fashion designer. We live in Mexico and design is not well paid at all here. I tried the corporate job for a year, the first months were great! I felt energized and excited, but by the third quarter, i was dreading every day, feeling like the money was shit and not worth it, so I quit, and even tho my dad is super supportive in my entrepreneurial journey, I feel a bit stuck and like you said, in a place with a lot of doubt and fear of failure, also with no money now or on the horizon, I know this is a tough year to choose to start something new, but I am confused and scared, feeling bitch slapped by reality, I tend to be an idealist but I feel like I am grieving that part of myself, and I don't want to let it go either.

Hi Dan, well what if at the beginning, if I decided to persue my dreams and go for what I love fully, I wouldn't be able to even cover the expenses for persuing it? I'm an INFP and would like to do photography, models phototests specifically. I've done it before, mostly for free, sometimes I got paid but had to give all the money for the photo studio rent etc. I know I'm really good at it and that with time I could become even better, people like my work and I love the outcomes too. But at the beginning, I would probably have more expenses than any possible income. Is it a good idea to start slow while still having a regular job? Thanks
@barbiemargolies89603 жыл бұрын
Hi! ENFP here who went from zero to full time photography career quickly. You can get paid while you’re still learning, growing, etc. It took me quitting my other bs jobs to put ALL IN to my photography career, though. I made $17,000 my first year, $22,000 my second, and then within 5 years was making $150+ per hour. YOU CAN DO IT, TOO!!!!!!!!!! My unsolicited advice is to take photos of anyone who wants to give you money regardless of your interest in the work at first. You might find something that you didn’t realize was enjoyable, creative, AND lucrative. Good luck, friend!!!

I get your feels. As an ENFP, and I've not even graduated yet, I remember when I was about to enter Senior High - Grade 10- 12. I recalled the talent show the previous year and how great I felt singing and making people happy when they read my stories or looked at my illustrations. But when I told my parents I wanted to do Arts... That didin't go well. Recently, when I was asked what I really wanted to do with my life and I said 'Influence people' through my music, art and stories, I was told I was being a child in my imagination- not in a good way. So I understand.

Don't listen to them! Our feelings and abilities are valid in the fact that they exist, for a reason. The sj types are not meant to see that value or pursue it, we are, given the privelege to enjoy these aspects of life. Pursue your passions, find balance, with you heart and mind, failing is the first step on the path to success. It is necessary, failing helps your mind rewire and learn and grow! Hope this helps somewhat

I have an honest question. What if as an enfp you have conflicting dreams? For example: wanna be an animator, who animates to awsome music without restrictions(gave up on copyrighted music so think copyright free or do it for that Band i like) and contant revisions. But also wanna have a kid. Had a kind of Job for a long time. Did it well but the stress from others made it worse só you switch tó the same kind of Job but they Tell you the carrier stuff and they dont like your: I'm good as the starter. I just wanna do my Job get that Salary which enough for paying my bills. Then after the 8 hours of work do my passion at home. Everyone thinks in retail that you have to love your Job to do it. But what if you were in love with it but now you just tolerate it. And every critique regarding your Job makes you owerthink the Hell out of everything. And you afraid you loose the Job which you need to pay your debt and bills. Sorry for the long post... I'm genuinly curious what you would Say to that person who ask your advice on theese situations.

Can i ask about how to know your passion ?

You asked me already...and I filmed a video to respond, and forgot about it! Just sending it to my editor now, you should see it on the channel soon.

it's fucking hard being ENFP and poor. i cant have a job cause i suck in everthing, and i try to get some ... jobs that i could feel good, on this quest i have fear of my resources not being enough and i feel absolutely useless. rigth now i kinda given up of getting any type of work i'm just waiting death while i try to live a limited life, i given up being productive cause this quest was the source of my most depressive thoughts actually i have no passions no more, i just want to feel alive. i'ts like my dream is having a dream

Dude 5 to 10% increases in corporate America havne't happened to regular workers since the 90's. Maybe for some seriously gung ho ladder climbers but the average worker is now get 1% to 3%.

@@enfp No doubt! Double down on what your good at and go out on your own! So funny I know and have all these traits and for 43 years I have been beaten down for them all. Now it's time to use it to my advantage!

My manager told me effectively that he wants me to be an STJ, like my co-worker. I’m not sure what to do. The best option I can think of is to fake it but I know that’s not sustainable

What ??? He told you to be something you aren’t ?? I probably misunderstood your message, right ??

So... As an ENFP woman, if I follow my passion it means I will end up buckass naked hanging on for dear life to an old dude who is kite boarding?? Just what kind of message are you trying to send your female subscribers? And for your male subscribers, if they follow their passions they will get a hot naked lady, like she is some sort of trophy, rather than an actual human being? Please be more thoughtful about the pictures you use for your thumbnails. I like your content but from this one and the other video (with Sharon Stone, I also commented on) as a woman I don't feel very welcomed on this channel. This is BASIC, I should not have to explain this to you

I usually like your videos, but the cover you chose for this video is disgustingly sexist Disappointed. Couldn't even watch
