Ok, do tell about the counter clockwise trellising? Is that mandatory? I didn't realize that was a mandatory thing? !
@dreamsofhoya2 жыл бұрын
Not sure mandatory is the right word, but I talk about this more in-depth in my trellis video! Here’s the link 😊 kzbin.info/www/bejne/imOxi4Osjtaihas

I jus hot Hoya australis two months ago and she has grown so fast it's almost scary! This video makes me even more scared! 😅

Haha I embrace this kind of scary, bc a pair of snips are your best weapon!! Keep her in check, make plant babies and give them away 😉🙌 OR let that beastie take over - no wrong answers! 💚

Hi Darcie and your brother (I forgot his name 🙈)!! Puppy smooches from Zoey and Oreo!! 💙💜🐾 I get so confused about the clockwise/counter clockwise trellising - and does it change when you get to the top of the trellis and head down the other side? I think it’s the 3D thing that confuses me. I can look at something 2 dimensional and say okay, go around to the right or left, but wrapping around just makes my brain hurt 🤦🏼♀️😂😬😑 I watched your video while I was trimming my Monstera Adansonii to propagate. I don’t know what happened to it - maybe I gave it too much sun? But the leaves kept turning yellow and brown and I couldn’t figure out the watering schedule - so that might have been an issue as well… I’m just going to start it over. Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴

🐶 so sweet! I’ll pass them along 😘 Bentley knows he’s not forgettable so no harm done 😆 I keep it going the same direction I started as counterclockwise. I try to imagine from the perspective of the vine itself, if that makes sense? In nature they wouldn’t climb downward, so it’s unique to the houseplant experience! Maybe I need to watch the Unsolicited Plant Talks vid again 😅 Good luck with your adansonii! I don’t own that one anymore, but my other monstera want to dry out fully. But if left dry for long, they get diva-ish 🤷🏻♀️

Why would you want this Hoya Australis that tall. A Hoya latifolia with huge leaves would be more dramatic.
