The beauty of this is that Boromir is of the line of Numenor a race of men that stood 7-8 feet tall on average. Boromir has many of the traits of his ancestors with all their failings that come with being man, and all the strengths as well

"Beneath Amon Hen I heard his cry, there many foes he fought. His cloven shield, his broken sword, they to the water brought his head so proud, his face so fair, his limbs they laid to rest. And Rouros, golden Rouros falls bore him upon its breast" this is one of my favorite pieces of poetry ever written. I may be bias though, because Tolkien wrote most of my favorite poems

of course your bias, when someone likes something bias is expected. im just as biased as you, Tolkien poems are the only poems i can read without being bored.

This is my favorite part of this poem (Specially considering it's being spoken by the North Wind itself), but the Song of Dúrin is my favorite of Tolkien's poems 🙂

In the stories it is written that they left the part of the East Wind to Gimli, but refused to sing it. Aragorn comments that the peoples of Gondor endured the East Wind but would not ask it for tidings, for in that direction lies Mordor and the Evil in the East.

I think it means "Out of the Depths I Cry." It's Psalm 129 in the Latin and Greek Psalter (Psalm 130 in the Hebrew and, therefore, the King James Version). This version of De Profunis is Celtic and paganized, but it has a long tradition in the Catholic Latin musical tradition. I'm a fan of the version by the great composer Josquin des Prez (1450-1521 AD). You up for some legit polyphony Neal?

Each line and verse belonged to both Legolas and Gimli including Aragorn too.

If you haven't already... your channel would grow immensely if you did reactions to the LOTR trilogy extended versions (including the subtitles for the elvish which is a fully fledged languaged recognized globally as an official language. Sindarin heavily influenced by Welsh as well as Quenya influenced by Finnish and some forms of latin. LOTR meaning lord of the rings.
