Ironically enough this song came out right after I was put in the foster system. My mom was a single parent and couldn't take care of me and my brother and that same time my great grandmother died so I connect with this song very deeply. This song helped me get through my years in the foster system and still does to this day.

I’m late here, but I have to say it. This made me cry because it reminds me of my grandma. She was laying sick in the hospital for days in another state. This very close to how my family’s visit to see her went. She died that night, not even half an hour after we left the building. She was just waiting to see us one last time…

Last Name and When he Cheats go together. Last name came out first and at the end of the video they get in a red pickup truck she bought him. It is the truck she carved her name in the leather seats and took the Louisville Slugger to. She is such a good story teller as are most country singers.

The last part of the song where she sees the old man I cry at that part every time I lost my grandpa 1 year ago and when I heard this son the other day I bawled my eyes out
@fairabbigailgrace4 жыл бұрын
I haven't heard this song for a while and I forgot she took a more personal viewpoint in the video with the last verse. I lost my grandmother in February and while I have been preparing myself mentally for the past 5 years (she was 90) it cut very deep. She was ready when God called her home. For her memorial we found a beautiful song by The Afters called 'Well Done', it's such a hard song to hear and sing still today w/o getting emotional. The beautiful "young" lady in my photo (brown sweater) is my grandmother. Thanks for a great reaction.

I really enjoy your reactions, and like you I get emotional at songs like this. I came across a video last night that blew my mind, I watched it over and over again until I had to force myself to shut down my laptop and go to bed. The song is God Bless the USA by Home Free feat. Lee Greenwood and the United States Air Force Band. Lee Greenwood is a legend who came out with this song years ago and it's been called the second National Anthem. Home Free is an a capella band with a beat boxer who is not to be believed, and of course the Band is made up of men and women of the USAF. You should check it out.

She sang the In Memoriam for the 51st CMA awards, a recording of it is available on youtube, it's an awesome performance. Sadly in the videos I've seen on YT you can't see the Screen where they show all the Country stars that died that year. That hymn she sings "Softly and Tenderly" is one of the most powerful hymns despite being slow and soft. Especially when she sings it.
