My 18 year old son was just diagnosed with his second cancerous brain tumor. The first time he was 14. Needless to say, I'm devastated. I am beside myself. I love you son...live...live Another Day. Update... My 20 year old son finally lost his battle with cancer on March 29th, 2021. You can't imagine the whole losing a child leaves you with. All memories, feelings are amplified in making you remember them. The smallest and most unexpected things will hit you. I miss you son. Dada will always love you.

The Dream Theater album Images and Words, released in 1992, was recorded at Bear Tracks Studios, a recording studio in upstate New York that was owned by Spyro Gyra saxophonist Jay Beckenstein. Beckenstein himself plays the soprano saxophone on the track Another Day, a ballad that guitarist John Petrucci wrote for his ailing father.

Aww this tune is a pure masterpiece! The perfect song that I'd like to be played in the church at my funeral on the day that God will call me back next to him.. "Don't cry because I'm gone 'cause I'm fine and in a far better place now." That's all I would desire as my last wills.

I don't know who Alip Ba Ta is, but to all of you guys who came here because of them, this isn't the only one amazing Dream Theater song, they have so much more songs that outclass this song in every other way! I recommend starting with the Images & Words (This song is in it) album and go from there. Either way thanks for giving the most awesome band the recognition it deserves!

I passed my exams with a good marks and till this day this song still gives me the same good vibes. I will always appreciate Dream Theater's music. Love them.

It is indeed a sax ..... Jay Beckenstein - Soprano saxophone-----Another Day is a mellodic ballad with pop sensibilities. The song was written to be accessible, and was presented with radio, single and video releases. Another Day does build up to a crescendo, though it never becomes heavy, instead going into a soprano sax solo by Beckenstein.
