How about DreamWorks Hero-Villain Relationships? You could have separate categories ranging from enemies who barely know each other to heated rivalries. For example: Practically Strangers - They barely interact, and are more obstacles than actual enemies. Ex: Puss in Boots and Big Jack Horner, Po and Tai Lung, Ginormica and Gallaxhar Pain In The Butt - There may be a bit of an established relationship or personal rivalry to go along with the conflict. Ex: The Penguins and Dave, Shrek and Lord Fartwad, Wallace and Gromit and Lord Victor Quartermaine Most Personal - For enemies who directly challenge each other's beliefs, betray or inflict trauma on one another or have a bitter history. Ex: Hiccup and Drago Bludvist, Mr. Wolf and Professor Marmalade, Moses and Rameses For the record, I spelled Farquaad's name wrong on purpose to spite him.

I personally like Alex and Marty, not only I’m a huge fan of the Madagascar franchise, it’s ironic yet equally iconic since they are the typical predator/prey duo yet they can put that difference aside and any other of their differences aside and get along great in any given circumstance they put each other through. Sure, they have had their conflicts with each other, but they always get to the bottom of the situation and patch things up because they know that is what friends do, they forgive each other and solve things as a way to move on and further progress the relationship while strengthening it. A forth movie isn’t even needed to prove this cause all three of the movies itself have plentiful examples that prove how much they love and care for each other. Then again the series doesn’t need a fourth movie period 🦁♥️🦓

I don't know, I would put Alex and Marty in the place of Shrek and the donkey, because we have been shown more than once how the donkey annoyed Shrek and is perceived as a typical sidekick, while Marty and Alex are perceived as equal characters playing key roles in the franchise (especially in part 1). In any case, the rating is very good. My Favorites Are Alex/Marty, Hiccup/Toothless and Po/Tigress

I also would've included Donkey, and Puss In Boots on this list as well. Both were great loyal sidekicks to the all star ogre Shrek helping him fight against Fairy Godmother in Shrek 2, and the other baddies. At the start they didn't seem to get along too well because Puss tried to kill Shrek making Donkey obviously not trust him, but eventually they became good best friends on the quests together.🐴😼

I would have to say that the How to Train your Dragon series, with Hiccup and Toothless is the best animated series that I've ever seen in my entire life. I only just watched the The Hidden World and I am so sad to see the series come to an end. Shrek is also a unbelievable animated series, and I hope that a possible Shrek 5 is not too far away in the future. But Hiccup and Toothless have the best friendship, that I have been devoted to ever since I was growing up. Thankyou DreamWorks and as well as Pixar for making these unforgettable animated movies. You're not going to like this but I think Shrek and Donkey have one of the most toxic relationships I've ever seen in animation. Nothing against Donkey of course but he doesn't know the meaning of boundaries. And Shrek is a pretty terrible friend. Treating him like dirt the whole movie, ignoring him completely once he falls in love with Fiona and then really only reconnecting with him in order to get him to help get back with Fiona. While I'm very sure that Shrek cares about Donkey, their "growth" as friends is more about when Shrek gets into too much trouble and needs his friend donkey to either (A) bail him out trouble or (B) get him back Fiona's good graces. Manny from Ice Age would be a much better choice his friendship with Sid (while Shrek does have a good reason as well for being alone and antisocial) Manny actually genuinely helps Sid out, convinces the predator and double agent Diego to turn on his own kind and join their herd based on Manny's courage and kindness and he genuinely bonds with everyone he meets through his good heart. Shrek... I mean, Puss in Boots gave him the sad eyes and Shrek almost wiped his own children from the face of existence. Idk and wasn't there that time that Shrek was going to force a relative of Fiona's to rule Far Far Away? Not really the best of friends you could have.
