Our last tent camp ever was at Ginnie partying students would be the only drawback but there’s so much great that outweighs a little lost sleep. One of our favorite things to do at Ginnie is snorkel from spring run out into the Santa Fe and glide down to the next run fight the current up to that boil. I don’t know why but every time I hit that transition from the clear spring water to the coffee (tannin) water of the river I find mesmerizing.

You've taken me from one magical and colorful world, Mexico, into another. That of the Florida springs. Wow, how amazingly gorgeous. Some of those areas are so precious and unique. "What 🎶a wonderful 🎶world" to quote Louis Armstrong.Water, a life giving substance. Without it the world would cease to exist. I know this same problem about 'purchasing' the natural springs is also happening in New Zealand, by corporates. The irony is, they pollute the waters around us and now are on the look out for new resources to supply us with what they've destroyed. So, so sad. It's all about the money. I am pleased your stories aren't all about the gloss and glamor but also reality. Nothing wrong with gloss and glamor mind you. A great wake up session for me. Lovely start while the rest of the world around me is still sleeping. Happy travels. 🌷🇳🇱🙋♀️🇳🇿😎🙏

Well, if you make it out west, you should visit the Yampa River tubing and Strawberry Park hot springs in Steamboat Springs, CO (maybe even the balloon fest in early July), and then head up to Lava Hot Springs, Idaho on the Pocatello River for tubing and another soak. Plenty to see in between also.

Ah, next week the Bourbon Trail. don't know if you did this in May, but we did Graceland, the excellent RV park 0 and really loved the museum, the house was a bit underwhelming. Jim Beam Bourbon and the Kentucky Derby (stay at the Masonic Lodge near the infield entrance) ; The Grand Old Opry, Milwaukee for Mother's Day, a Brewers game, the Harley Museum and then down to the Indy 500, all camping. The mid-west is exceptional in May.

I live in MT and the once lovely rivers that primarily were fly fishing spots . Now in summer they are over run with floaters that contaminate those rivers. We who live here for years can’t stand to deal with the crowds at the rivers. People are drunk , loud and leave tons of trash. Then they go home to their own trashy states. I’m sad because there’s no way to contain these areas unless the government denies access. Then no one can enjoy them.

The really frustrating thing is the people who make up the committee that made the decision are not elected officials, but appointees placed in power by Florida's previous governor, now senator, Rick Scott. The committee gave the excuse that their hands were "legally tied" to decided in Nestle's favor. A scary thought to realize that legal process and global company power can "tie the hands" of decision makers. Even scarier when those decisions give away the one thing that keeps humans and the local ecosystems healthy only to pump it into 1 million gallons/day with of plastic bottles and sell it back to the locals. Please support Florida springs councils effort to fight this in court. There is a link in the description below the video. Please share this with your friends that may not know this is happening! Thank you! - Dennis
