@IADC Dredging (International Association of Dredging Companies) how powerful is the suction on a TSHD
@IADCDredging12 жыл бұрын
Dear Rhona, The suction power of a TSHD depends on the power of the dredging pump, which relates to the size of the vessel. The larger the vessel, the more powerful is the dredge pump. IADC publishes vessel data on its website. Amongst the data is the power the dredge pump: www.iadc-dredging.com/publication/iadc-fleet-list-2021-2/

@IADC Dredging (International Association of Dredging Companies)how much does one suction pipe on TSHD weigh
@renekolman41932 жыл бұрын
This depends on several factors: diameter of the suction pipe, size draghead, presence of an underwater pump.
@danieldanfoxworth95284 жыл бұрын
What diameter rocks will it handle
@IADCDredging14 жыл бұрын
In general a TSHD is not used for dredging rock. Occasionally it can handle larger pieces of rock as long as they can pass the dredge pump. In the Melbourne channel deepening project, equipment was specially designed to dredge rock. See www.iadc-dredging.com/article/port-melbourne-environment/

How much cost to clean a river basin (Like per kilometer )?
@IADCDredging12 жыл бұрын
Dear Zillur, The answer on your question depends on many factors. To name a few: • Depth and with of the river • Discharge of the river • Level of contamination • Material to be dredged • Available equipment. All these and other factors determine the costs of the dredging project. A straight answer can’t be given.

@IADCDredging13 жыл бұрын
Up to a certain level of rockiness, it can be dredged with a modified draghead. This so-called ripper draghead has been described in Terra et Aqua 118. When it is too rocky a Cutter Suction Dredger is necessary.
