Yeah we just roll the dice and see how it goes. It was still a lot of fun and excitement so can't complain.

Kinda looks like you could make a heart out of it. the color is amazing.

It’s still beautiful. I can’t wait to see what number 1 looks like 😀

Number 1 is much nicer. Has a flaw but it is a great looking stone and I'm not even finished with it yet.

Yep, i see the heart shape as well.

I think i'll still go for the matching teardrop pair but might draw on a heart first just to be certain.

Awww, that's a bit sad. It looked like it had such potential. However, you can still get some good small ones and the colour is quite nice! Thanks for doing that for us. :-)
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it will still result in two small pieces. Not a complete loss but that's how opal goes some times.

Even with the sand, it is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing how #1 cuts.

Oh yeah... I should finish making those. You'll see them in the channel when I get them done. :)
@ManMountainMetals4 жыл бұрын
ok ummm...can you Dremel the sand out & epoxy it? or doublet?
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
I could give it a filling but it would be noticeable. I'd rather cut it out.

Oh well. That's the opal game, but it is still going to be ok, as a couple of little ones.

Yeah it's deffinetly not fully sand shot. I'll get two nice small ones from this.

Would I be able to send you a video of an opal that I cut? I cannot workout what pattern it is and it’s bugging me. I have tried looking but I can’t find the pattern anywhere!

Just a quick question.....wondering what speed you run your ozito on ...I just bought one and it seems to run a lot faster than my dremel did

8000-35000 rpm. I use it on its lowest setting so about 8000rpm

No where near a dud. The chips would make great doublet and you could clean out the sand and set it from the hole.
@OpalholicsAnonymous4 жыл бұрын
Ooh the heart may work you can even have the hole as a representation of a broken heart. Or have a wave of silver coming out of it wrapping it slightly as a pendant
@RoysRocks4 жыл бұрын
I think i would rather a matching pair of teardrops looking at it more. I'll revisit it at a later date.
