Great video! Is the touchscreen glass or plastic? I’m just wondering if it’ll eventually get scuffed up over time. Are you still using the Dreo? I watched your other video with the steaks. Just wanted to see how you’re still liking it?

Amy not for anything but if you or any other home cook would stop using all these fancy gadgets and learn the basics of cooking like how to tell if a piece meat is the temperature you want your cooking would improve over night . I wish i was still teaching not for anything i was a chef for 40+ years. I do enjoy the vids.

Yeh, let’s do away with cars so we can walk, phones so we can talk (or shout), videos so we can watch real life, clocks so we can use sundials etc etc etc. More likely is that using time-saving devices we can progress further on the cooking journey.

At $350.00 is way too much for this machine.

If you compare it to an convection oven I agree this would be expensive. However, I think it is reasonable for a combi oven. Note combi ovens are not the same as a traditional convection oven. A full size combi oven can run several thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. Anova make a countertop version of a combi oven (Anova Precision Oven) that is $700. The Dreo Chefmaker is nearly half the price.

I would not use a device for cooking that involves an app on the phone. It takes the joy of cooking away for me .

I’m a bit like that with TV remotes, not getting up to walk across the room to turn up the volume takes all the joy of watching TV away from me. My life would be a wasteland if I had to use a remote to change channel. 😂😂😂
