However, I can now add cocoa powder to things, and they will see me do this and understand why.

Hi Dr.Berg, can you please make a video on collagen powders and pills and your thoughts on them? It seems like they've become really popular, but do they really work? If yes, what are the best brands to use?
@ggbice2 жыл бұрын
Personally spent much time on your inquiry. VITAL PROTEINS rated very high. It's Bovine vrs. Marine source. *Nothing wrong with Marine source. While Collagen is greatly marketed to benefits for skin, hair, and nails........I want the well documented benefits for bones and muscles. Though not inexpensive, I have been using for three months, and will continue. It's tasteless powder. I use in am coffee, but smoothies are great. Wish I had started collagen sooner.

The cost of a container of collagen (powder) costs a pretty penny. I found that Bone Broth (Beef and Chicken) provide collagen as well. You can cook with it and at the same time... sip a little of it. Plus if you're on a keto diet... Pork Rinds (with nothing added - look at the ingredients - just pure pork rinds) are nothing but pork skins and essentially concentrated collagen. Pork Rinds are a win-win.
@mariamartinez96982 жыл бұрын
@@twofacepalmer1212 true about the collagen price but I buy on a bundle bc is more cheap, also is 45 serving per container so is not to bad….The pork rinds at Costco are good. I’m more at low carb diet and I do 14 hrs IF.

Collagen comes from the soft part of bone called bone matrix which is made of condroitin, bisulfide, MSM, boron etc. Bone is mostly calcium but 40% bone matrix as a child and 25% as an adult.

You can use electrolytes as a temporary treatment for diarrhea; for children, but I'm not sure if a child can take them everyday in this early age. Majority of adults' medication are suitable for children from 12 years onwards, and the dosage should be like 1 small spoon in a baby cup full of water.
