okay helpful tips: 1. in most servers, the players are stingy with their votes so when you vote anyone more than one star they will probably be top 3 2. if ur rlly nice to everyone in chat and you compliment their outfits they might give you 2 stars instead of 1 which might be just enough to put you on the podium 3. the order that you walk the runway is the order that you join the server, so whoever joins last will walk last, whoever has been in the server the longest will go first 4. layering hairstyles makes the look way more interesting 5. vip is so worth it, its only $10 to have it forever 6. look up the themes for inspo pics it rlly helps 7. look up DTI codes, there’s so many now and once you enter them you unlock a bunch of cool items theres even a cat one (caseoh’s code) 8. when all else fails just take the theme rlly literally because people like to be surprised and think “why didnt i think of that?” so for aquatic if you just dressed as water they might’ve liked that PLS PLAY THIS GAME AGAIN I KNOW U GUYS WILL MAKE THE PODIUM NEXT TIME

Genuinely if you wanna practice there's a free roam version for you to just look at everything with no time limit whatsoever and you can join back to a normal server once you feel better prepared. Now as someone who has spent a ungodly amount of time in this game the best thing to do as a beginner is to practice layering - the best way to layer is through finding items that have similar line ups or line up in ways that makes it look natural, my biggest advice is practicing for a lil in freeplay to help you get to know where all items are and feel more comfortable before throwing yourself into the game.

Ok I have some helpful tips to get higher rankings. (As someone who’s played this year in June of 2024) 1. It’s always good to search up a theme you don’t know and take inspo from the pictures 2. Doing character references to a theme is always helpful and creative, for summer you could do like Moana or Ariel look. That is something common to what I’m seeing. 3. The people in the server 9/10 times are children playing this game, so any like cartoon or Disney related are what they gravitate towards and they will give you a higher vote 4. Getting the vip in clothes is VERY HELPFUL! I used to not like the VIP option a lot but now that I have it, you basically opened up more options for urself in the clothing 5. This is a personal tip, but whatever is the theme, do all the clothes you want to use first and then color/add patterns later because doing a look in 5 minutes is time consuming and it’s mostly spent on the outfit/look you are going for half the time. 6. Doing the free play lets you get familiarized with the area of dti so you know exactly where to look when you need a hat or a skirt. Especially when they update their servers ALOT! 7. Layering is HUGE! I can’t stress that enough. Layering ur outfits gives it dimension and adds more detail. Say you are using a blue color option, a navy blue or a black helps bring in the outfit. 8. If you are nice in the server, ie. complimenting their outfits, that player will give you a higher vote because you are being nice. 9. There’s a little star on all the poses, if you click on the star for each pose you use the most, you can click on the star on top of the pose options for solo and duo and you can do ur most iconic poses without looking for it 10. Use some of the free codes that dti has! You can search for them on TikTok and there’s tons to use, there is 2 expired codes, one was for a dress and the other this mermaid set, however every other code does work and if you played during the brat summer update, you get some free brat clothing in ur code options. There’s always new codes coming out so please search up and use these codes to give ur outfit more detail 11. Now everyone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure you can only have 18 clothing/jewelry/hats/shoes (aka items) because if you try and go over that amount the game will tell you you have reached the max amount of items for your outfit. 12. Ratings are unfair unless the server itself is with good people. Meaning that if you see that the 1st place has 12 stars, everyone is voting each other 1 star and it ads to that amount. Try and server hop to get 20-40 star rating servers, they for the most part rate fairly and it’s hard to find them. 13. Don’t feel intimidated by others outfits! Your outfit is what you think the theme is and everyone’s creations are AMAZING! I’ve seen so many great outfits and styles all fitting a theme and they are GORGEOUS! So feel free to explore outside the box for themes! 14. Most clothing options now have a toggle where you can add or take off jeans, make pants into cargos, long sleeve shirts you can just use the sleeves or the top itself with no sleeves. This goes with what I’m talking about with layering but this has been so helpful in creating outfits. Okay that’s all my tips from what I’ve learned in 4 months! Hope this helps for any new players deciding to join the game!
