The Barbie Horse Does Dressage! Meet Bosco The Palomino Dressage Stallion Out Of Quaterback

Bosco is a unique stallion in many ways. First of all because of his pretty palomino color. He has an interesting pedigree (without the influence of Ferro, Jazz, and Flemmingh-genes) and he is super talented as a dressage horse. He has a wonderful, uncomplicated character and he behaves himself with super manners between other horses.
Rider Esmee Gijtenbeek competes with Bosco almost at Grand Prix-level: “Bosco is not tall, but he moves big. He has a great mind, lots of go, and a super work ethic. I do not only wanna show his cool color, which he passes on to his offspring, but also show his talents. His skin does not only look gold, his is worth gold to me!”
Owner Rom Vermunt: “If you cover your mare with Bosco, you have 50 percent chance of palomino, a dun or smokey-colored foal. And if Bosco does not pass on his color, you will still have a lovely sporthorse in my opinion!”
Bosco’s sire Benicio (2005) showed his talent at the international level in Intermediate II with his rider Jessica Andersson. With over 20 approved sons, several approved sons with a premium ad many topsellers at auctions Benicio steps in the footprints of his famous sire Belissimo M.
Bosco is bred out of Statepremium-mare Harfe, a daughter of the proven sire Quaterback who competed himself at Prix St George level. Quaterback is placed fourth in the WBFSH-ranking with over 30 progeny at Grand Prix-level. The grandson of Quattro is bred out of a half-sibling of the top-class mare Poetin and her full-siblings the approved stallions Samba Hit I - V. The palomino-color is a trademark of this damline, that originates form Czech Republic and moved from the Southern part of Germany to Oldenburg were Bosco was born and registered.

So he actually just switched riders. Febe van zwambagt is now his rider. She has still 2 years left in U25. I’m curious to see whether he will be ready soon.. I was actually thinking about using him for one of my mares. I would like a Barbie horse too.. 😂
