I don't share blood with my Dad but you'd never be able to tell with how strong our bond is!! When I was 17, my Mom was dying and they hadn't been together to long. Maybe two years.... I'd been so used to being let down by the men in my life that I panicked and got ready to keep my brothers and I together.... As we watched life flight take my Mama away, Dad looked at me and said, _"YOU ARE MY KIDS AND NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL NOT ABANDON YOU!"_ It was the first and only time he _EVER_ raised his voice at me.... I was a daddy's girl but I didn't have that kinda dad after the age of 8. That's when I lost him when he lost himself. He became hopelessly addicted to prescription pain meds when he hurt his back at work and things only got worse. I held out for years praying that one day he would realize how much I needed him and get help. He died 2 years ago from a fentanyl overdose. I miss him but I have been missing him long before his passing. Girls need their daddys. I'm working on forgiving him and letting go of my anger. It's so hard. 😢

I am a foster child in the system and i had an old DCS case-worker who she played this song to me, when i learned why my heart mealted. She saw me as her DAUGHTER… i called her mom because my real mom neglected me and refused to be a part of my life. So my case-worker took her place. My name is Chris and my daughter’s name is Gracey. She is my rainbow baby. My wife and I lost twins @ 18 weeks. When my daughter was conceived it was against all odds. I was battling testicular cancer and was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure with an ejection fraction of 15%. It was by the GRACE of God that she is here and we chose the name to give him or to our Lord. Fast forward 5 years and we now know she is autistic and shines like the sun. Unfortunately my cancer has returned with a vengeance. With CHF I cannot handle typical treatment options. This has put me in a position to prematurely plan a life for my daughter where I may not be physically present. This song hits my heart so very hard and reminds me that i may not be there to give her away at her wedding. My wife and I have purchased your album for this very song to be played for Gracey on her special day. I have already recorded a message for her to be played with your song. As a father, all I can pray for is that her husband may love her with the pure love that I have for her. As a man, I know that nobody could ever love her like I do. I lost my grandpa the day after I was born but before he did he made a video of him telling me a 4 hours of how much he loved me and how much he wished he could be here with me . I miss him but we have to learn that they’re watching over us, my mom always tells me how I’m exactly like him and how much she feels like I am him. My 18 year old daughter was killed Dec 23, 2023 when Hwy patrol chased a man at over 130mph thru our small lil town and crashed into her 5 min from home after finishing up Christmas shopping. She was almost home.
