I had a cream Austin J40 when I was a youngster in around 1954. I wish I still had it now !!

Greetings from Australia. I fondly remember as a small boy, my Dad took me into a BMC Dealership in Orange, NSW., and there on a stand, was an stunning red Austin A40 pedal car, with a genuine tan leather seat, 12 volt working headlights, chrome grille and yes, a loud horn. . Only 7 at the time, and never did see any around the neighbourhood, that folks would have bought for their kids, so perhaps it was a first prize in a raffle. Also remembered, when seeing the latest kid's electric cars, like Mercedes, BMW, and Mini. Would be pure Gold to acquire a J40 and fit it with an electric motor. I had one of them as a kid in Belfast in the '70s. My dad turned it into a armoured car inspired by the Saracens and Saladin's going round Andy town.

J40s that have been on fairground rides are always the most beaten up. Usually they lack the pedals and hand breaks and sometimes they lack the steering column. Being dragged round a ride for 30 years really messes up the body and chassis. I’d say if your looking for a J40 to restore avoid the fairground ride ones like the plague

So our first (and hopefully last) rolling blackout. About an hour and 20 minutes. There was practically no wind this AM. So, even if the wind turbines hadn't been ice covered or gummed up with lubricating oil (where did that stuff come from?) which was thick as molasses from the cold, they still wouldn't have made power. The wind turbines which did operate were pushed beyond their limits so the life expectancy of the blades was probably greatly shortened. So more fiberglass and aluminum in land fills. Not to worry though. Biden and the squad will keep us nice and toasty with fairy dust and unicorn farts. Trump wanted to invest in our infrastructure. Congress spent their time and effort impeaching him. Hate does funny things. Thankfully Biden has spent his time putting men in your little girl's restroom and shower, insulin prices back up where big pharma wants it, and gasoline and heating energy prices on the path to the stratosphere. But on the bright side, no more nasty tweets!

Drive all that way out there to buy things and only “possibly” make €200 or so….what a waste of time and fuel and wear and tear on the vehicle. Not to mention paying Tee’s wages for the day. Seems like yet another loss. Maybe, if the sellers want to sell any of there merchandise, make them drive out to your store and bid them there. I bet the sellers items would be much more reasonable when they have to absorb the cost of fuel and labor and possibly go home empty handed😉
