Great stuff, very interesting & informative. Drew McIntyre has been ascending to greatness recently, his Social Media McIntyre gimmick is brilliant & has me even more invested in WWE. I bet the other wrestlers are like HOW does this guy do it? He has been very unique & the persona has legs, the feud with Punk after Mania is mouthwatering & I HOPE WWE sticks the WHC on him, I mean WHAT ELSE does a guy have to do to become Champion & 'Finally' get his moment with the fans...right? I mean him breaking the 4th wall on X/Twitter connecting with fans, hating on whomever👨‍💻💣💥, then going bk on WWE TV🤩, not knowing what he is going to say nor do next 😱 has been Gold 🥇🤣 Yep definitely the haters hater of the year 2024! Long live DM Hunk Hunk Hunk, let the Hating commence! 😂👍

I really appreciate Drew talking about the big picture and also being honest about his feelings after Clash at the Castle. I think many of us felt like it was a wasted opportunity to not give Drew that win and what would have certainly been a memorable moment (like Sami Zayn falling short, LA Knight and countless others). Just about every podcast or shoot interview lives in a constant state of "how I was screwed" or "hammering bad booking." So it was refreshing hearing a concession of "hey, that direction worked out." There is more to come for Drew, the hard work and sacrifice WILL payoff. Most times, the very best stories start with lost opportunities or falling short. That's essentially what the Rhodes Story is too - dad had it taken, brother never got a sniff, now Cody keeps falling short. Drew will have his moment, and it could end up being even bigger if it's Punk and McIntyre. Hell, I can definitely envision Drew winning it in a few weeks.

The point of having a stacked main event roster is the unpredictability of title changes.Having every viable main eventer lose to one guy just to stall until a three year storyline is fulfilled ain't great booking in my opinion... it's too predictable and boring and breeds repetitive matchups
@JetForceFive
@JetForceFive 2 ай бұрын
@@gusfring9194 Well, I'm not here to debate what is good booking and bad booking as it is usually subjective in what different people like, but can be objective if measured in attendance or dollars and cents. For you, it sounds like title changes and rotating different top stars is what gets you excited to watch. For others, they like a Thanos story. Mostly unbeatable until someone beats him. I also wouldn't go so far as to say that these converging stories have been and are predictable. A lot of people have been buying tickets and subscriptions to watch a title change over the last 3 or 4 years that hasn't come. 🤷 To each their own. I'm in my 40's, so the title switching isn't something I really liked - I was personally always more engaged when characters held championships for at least a year at a time. Not always, but usually I prefer the stories with return matches and slow climbs to the top. Shawn Michaels had that story of constantly falling short for years, with the big payoff at the end.

Punk returns before mitb, DM cuts his own version of “the pipe bomb” where he talks about his contracts dispute and whatnot. DM retains at MITB against punk and blows the kiss and leaves through the crowd with the title. McIntyre isn’t seen for the rest of the year, they “vacate” the world title and they have a tournament but punk is cost his 1st round match by a returning Seth Rollins. Seth and Punk finally have their match at summerslam while the finals of the world title tournament happens between Zayn and Owens where Zayn wins. Zayn defends the title against people like nakamura, Miz, and someone (IDK I’m throwing names out) he defends the title until royal rumble where he is finally defeated by punk. But punks celebration is cut short by a returning McIntyre. They have a title vs title match in the main event of wrestlemania where punk wins.

@@ProjectBaby40 think much bigger. The most popular wrestler ever. You need to see his interview. When this man says he dissected everything in his last match and knows he can do so much better and is asked against who. He said I have someone in mind. Then the interviewer knew it right away. He said CM Punk and he said yes. We had a run in for a game a few years back but we couldn't work out the timing. It's punk's dream match. And many fans as well. It's very obvious now. In any event I put most everything he said. But you need to watch the ESPN interview when you figure it out. He is on the Rushmore. And he has several famous catch phrases but one in particular changed the ways people did promos forever. He also made the most money of all time. I can't pitch it any slower. Drew is keeping kayfabe so well right now that he is basically gaslighting people to say he's not a heel and has convinced himself/his character that he is a face 😂

The ONLY thing Drew is missing, is the Broken Dreams theme song. Bring it back, it's HIS SONG. Losing it made no sense. It would be like HBK losing his Sexy Boy theme song, or Undertaker losing the gong. Broken Dreams IS PERFECTLY FITTING to Drew.

We need a Drew and Punk feud

I’m sure it will happen. And given Seth’s history with Punk and the probability Drew and Seth won’t be one and done at Wrestlemania, the feud could become a triple threat. Obviously that’s wishful thinking but one never knows what will happen.
