I have to smile when he totals the cost with cleaning and repairs to the collection and then he says "some profit, not much." Go to his shop website and look at his prices... a single item from this show is listed to sell for over 1 thousand dollars and a matching pair of items from this show, are priced to sell for over 14 thousand dollars. It appears that everything he has bought, is shown on his website to be listed to sell for 10 times what he paid! (Some profit, indeed Drew.)

This is heart breaking. I wonder where this Portuguese seller got these antiques. Old churches in Portugal, even if they are in ruins, are considered national monuments. These antiques should be in a museum. It`s relly very sad !

Old manors. The religious orders were expelled in the XVII , XiX and at the beginning of the Xx century. So it could be from that . There’s a lot of of money in Portugal, the money is gone but the old stayed.

These would have been destroyed if the seller had not salvaged them . Thats whats sad . Beautiful architecture is torn down everyday . At least these are saved. Not everything belongs in a museum. These will be repurposed and loved because the seller saved them .

The Portuguese like the Brazilans don't care for their heritage (in general) . I've seen building burn to the ground in Lisbon and much destruction in Brazil. They don't frequent museums either, such a pity. On my last visit to Lisbon I came across a small palace, open to the elements, full of beautiful old tiles awaiting demolition to put up one of their favorite concrete boxes in it's place.

Lot of you say heartbreaking, but antique can easily be destroyed rot etc. if not stored and cared for properly. It is not an easy sell ether. Consider who wants to put these in his home?

Nobody seems to get the truth about this guy. His shop at Liberties,failed .his shop in Colwyn Bay failed. He Put all his "bad buys" into Dreweatts Auctions on March 5-6 2024 to pay off his debts of the " fat end" of almost a Million. He pretends it's all his own " Personal Collection" But it's all the stuff he's overpaid for and can't sell. Imagine how well he might have done if he had a BIT of an ego. ha!!
