Also; when considering ideal ways to discard the shard, don't forget we're also getting Silver Samurai soon, who's on reveal is: "Both players discard the lowest power card in their hand". So even outside of moon girl shenanigans etc, I feel like Daken/Silver Samurai/Stature is gonna be a fairly strong package, that will likely be flexible enough to fit into multiple builds (or so it seems to me)... Idk, what does everyone else think the best cards to pair with him are gonna end up being? Edit: just watched the rest of the video, saw that the synergy between the 2 WAS discussed... Good stuff

I find Lady Deathstrike the best card this time around. She will allow us to destroy the opposing Iron Men, Draculas, Wongs and Mystiques, and so many more.

It’s worth nothing Silver Samurai is very likely to hit 0 cost cards in your opponent’s hand. For instance, Knull, Darkhawk, Iron Man. Surfer is only 2 power. I’m excited for Silver Samurai to enable a very consistent Stature play. It allows a cleaner curve for Moon Girl or pass on 5 for a turn 6 flourish

Great video, this is my first time tuning in! I also love the setup, showing the rotating variants and also the cards that will be frequently played with them. Very nice! I am very excited for Daken as a Discard player, it’s a great include. We’re happy to play Lady Sif, which is a 3/8 because she gives +4 to Apoc, so Daken would be the same in stats technically while also putting a card back in your hand, making Morbius +2 Lady Deathstrike does feel a bit gimmicky to me- I am in love with her variants tho. You have to buff her pretty hard to be useful, and then play around having your own cards destroyed too. People also mentioned cards like Iron Man, but if you both play those on turn 5 you would need to guess where they’re playing without priority, or if you want to play LD on turn 6 then that’s probably your only play, and you’re losing lol X-23 is cool, easy to slot into any destroy decks, I don’t see her being necessary in discard, but I could see myself being surprised. She is a really fun way to ramp while also fitting into a lot of game plans for destroy decks Silver Samurai may also be a surprising card, just because of how Black Bolt went from a useless card to sleeper OP until he got nerfed. I think he will find a deck or two, but it’s really hard to predict his relevance, I could see him being awkward too. I’ll probably be shooting for his spotlight cache because of the Kitty Variant and since I don’t have Spider-Man 2099, so I wouldn’t mind any of those. That’s all my personal thoughts! 😁

As a Discard main, I won’t be running X-23 probably, the deck I run I’ll most likely never use that 1 energy, however destroy it will be lit in! The chance to play Deadpool and Knull on 6 is awesome!!

Lady Deathstrike seems to be even more fiddly than you think because it says "Destroy each card here with LESS Power than this." Which should mean that she doesn't kill 3 power cards, if you don't buff her. She'd only kill cards 2 and below. If the text is accurate, it really feels like she should be 4 power at least.

i think x-23 is going to be very good. you have several options and the one i want to mess with is getting knull on 5 and zola it on 6. the issue is consistency since it regenerates and could clog the lanes you want the zola

Finally Silver Samourai seems to be a nice target for deck building. Nice synergies to think about : Hela deck, Wong with Daken, Swarm, Gambit,... Will fish for my Kitty variant so if I find Samourai, I think I would not be so sad (and don t have the Spiderman 2099) Sure will be the series 4 week so a waste for the caches but I am loving too much the kitty variant since her launch

I'm getting the pass and X23,but i think that silver samurai could be even better than her for discard at least cause discard almost always plays on tempo,and don't need ramp energy,and best playing him on 4 and i can hit muramasa or swarm,but maybe can hit a hulk, abomination or other high cost card that the oponent holds...so... I don't know,i think he will be a sleeper.

X-23 seems like the best addition to me. Destroy has always had an energy problem in my opinion. Magic has filled that gap but x-23 will allow you to ramp and destroy without wasting a turn. I’m looking forward to destroyer then knull or knull then Zola shenanigans.

I'm a little worried about having more support on two of the most common archetypes in the game. Hovering around 90-ish and it feels like 80% of my games are discard or destroy already. Getting a little stale to me, so hopefully Loki is a bit more interesting of a season.

As a person who plays destroy a lot there really isn't a open slot for anything so most of these won't matter. Maybe X23 might but tbh the curve is pretty clean as destory already has plenty of 1/2 costs you aren't really bothered about gaining an extra mana, though I did say maybe cause perhaps X23 does make it more better for situations like Glactus turn 5 or if Death is in that akward spot of been 1 Mana at the end of the game while having Knull also in hand wanting to play both but can't. Deathstrike seems niche unless there is a way to buff her quite a bit before playing. As most cards low powered aren't used to win a location, and most cards like Sunspot and Morbus or Nebula gain power through the game so by the time it hits turn 5 or even 4 if your doing something to cheat out Deathstrike these cards won't be usually under 3 power.

I think Lady Death-strike Is pretty bad tbh low power and I feel like Galactus does the job better because is 7 power,you spam green goblin and Hobgoblin and you win that location and destroy the others locations unlike killing this that has less power in one lane.
