Even in west Africa there's bad people and corruption. Lebanese were killed and tortured by all our neighbors in the past (turkey, syria, palestine, israel..) i don't hold a grudge to people in these countries, but i only hate greed and evil doctrines that some people possess. Drew, thank you so much for this video. My father was born and raised in Tripoli. His Sicilian parents had a store in the square. His family went to Italy during ww2 because the bombs and gun fire were becoming too much. They returned to Tripoli after the war and he eventually came to the US in the mid 50’s he told me a lot about his hometown but your video really brought it to life. I’m Italian American but I’m also proud to have been raised with some Libyan culture. It’s a beautiful country.

I really didn't know anything about Libya prior to watching this video. I was very fascinated by the Italian architecture that the country possesses. The bright white coloring is very pretty and it makes the structures and designs stand out. I'm glad you were able to interact with the locals Drew and I'm sure they gave you a sense of comfort after seeing all of the police patrolling the areas and the bombs and firearms of course going off. It's very hard to see this occurring, especially since you just detailed what was going on in Syria. It makes me truly appreciate what I have in my life and not take any opportunities for granted. I hope war ends in Libya and in the Middle East sooner rather than later, but I know that may not be the case. It hurts to know that that's going on. But as always, there's more good than bad in a country and I can tell that that's the case with Libya. Stay safe!

Gaddafi was good in certain aspects but corrupt as hell.at his peak he had a net worth of 212 billion US Dollars.Mostly from stealing money generated by oil.But he was a strong ruler.The problem is they now lack a strong leader who can give the country a direction
