I’m really curious to get your thoughts on Muluwork’s condition! I was not convinced until I spent 2 days with her, interviewed everyone that I could find in her village, and heard about her doctor visits in Dubai. If she's not in a North Korean or Chinese dictatorship with closed-circuit TV cameras on her all the time, we can't prove that she was NOT eating. t's a state that's well known and described in yoga. There have been famous cases in Europe, such as that of Therese Neumann, a Catholic mystic from the early 20th century. In India, Ma Ananda Mayi, the great saint of India, was known to go several months without eating. It's a spiritual manifestation.

It's sadly impossible. Food can be stored in fat cells in your body. This can make it possible to go long periods of time without eating. Water on the other hand is completely necessary. Without it, all of the cells that make up the human body would not be able to survive. Notably, blood that is composed of water allowing your organs to functions.. carrying oxygen to your lungs and nutrients to your tissues.. you would not be able to survive long without water. It is far more likely she is a religious charlatan who wants others to believe it is a gift from god.

If her only claim was that she did not eat but never gave birth and drank plenty of fluids, I might have an ounce of belief. But this is way beyond the scope of believability. Humans can go weeks if not months on just water. There was an obese man Angus Barbieri who went 382 days without eating food and followed by real medical personnel. In that time, he went from 456 lbs to 180 lbs, so basically starved himself and the only reason he was still alive was because he had so much weight to lose.

I am Ethiopian and I have heard her story on EBS (local media) years ago and she said growing up she was struggling a lot in life and sometimes being starved is one of them and one day she asked God for a food because she was hungry but God on the other side make the starvation go away and she never had to eat from then. Not everything is explained in science. Try to see it from a spiritual perspective.

Who am I to judge? I’ve seen so many miracles in my life. Cancer one day, gone the next. A person dying with no chance of survival from Pneumonia, having exhausted all antibiotics. Then she was prayed over in tongues by my mother. That moment her fever broke. The following day, her lungs were clear. And a day later, she was home. I felt my dad when he passed. Yes, I also used to eat like that (when I was eating low carb), but that's VERY different than not eating at all, as she claims to be doing and as other breatharians do. Of course I don't know what the truth of the matter is when it comes to her specifically, but I would just remind people that there is such a thing as breatharians (people who live only on tne energy in the air and sun, which is also innately in us. In the east this energy is called Prana or Chi and it is viewed as the part of God/Tao/Brahman/All That Is/Being in us). I have personally visited India 17 years ago and visited an ashram (spirit-loving commune) with a man who claims to have not eaten for 23 years but lives only on the prana/energy in the air and sun. He stares directly at the rising sun for about 15 minutes every morning and 15 minutes directly at the setting sun every evening. Direct eye contact with the sun (safe to do when the sun is at a low angle in the sky, just after sunrise and just before sunset). The rest of the day his skin is in contact with the sun rays most of the day (except the peak heat of midday) He does a lot of prana-yama (yoga breathing, meant to utilise the prana in the air and activate the part of Brahman/God within us) and also does many other yoga postures, and chants sacred chants in the beautiful Sanskrit language (ancient language of the Vedas). He is barefoot all the time and in direct contact with the earth. He sleeps shortly after sunset, wakes up naturally with the first light of dawn, and doesn't use any electronic devices. He was flown to Germany for medical checks and verification, and was under 24/7 medical supervision by doctors there for several weeks and they confirmed his claims (though they had no medical explanation for this). This visit and medical checks in Germany are fully documented and can be seen at the ashram. There are also official records in the German hospital. He sleeps in a simple earthern room (made of dried clay/mud, which is actually really pleasant and has a very nice feeling in it) on a thin mat on the floor, with other people in the room, so there is no possibility of him sneaking out to the ashram's kitchen - which is 100meters away from where he sleeps - to eat at 3am 🙂 many people would have noticed if he did that. and like I mentioned, in Germany he was under 24/7 medical observation. Of course that doesn't mean anything about this woman's story, but I'm just mentioning it so that people are aware that breatharians do exist..

I grew up on the mission field in a third world country. I heard a missionary tell about a mountain village that was cut off from all supply lines for months because of earthquakes that caused massive landslides. I met a woman in Switzerland who was very similarly humble like Muluwork but she must be in her 70 ties now. She did not tell anybody in that course of family constellation that we attended that she does not eat. However when we walked back to the train station I asked her if there was something special in her life that might be interesting to tell me about. So she shrugged her shoulders like well, there is nothing really special that I could tell you except for maybe that I dont eat since many years. It goes completely unnoticed here in Switzerland. This story was aired more than 7 years ago. This girl was a house maid and the family who hired her were very much concerned about her not eating and if I remembered it right, she was let go back to her village and the guy from Addis heared about her and went to visit her. This word goes out to local authorities and they think it will be a good tourist attraction for that remote area. The local authorities built a house where she can stay and see guests. (it is very clear she loves cooking). Such incientances are common in many traditional homes in Papua New Guinea (Pacific), where ladies who cooked food often lose their appetite to eat, after prolonged inhaling of the steam coming out from the cooking food and soup. I just never heard of anyone living on steam (only inhaling of steams from food) as a source of energy for 15 plus years. Those, I know, often ends up eating later on.
