When I was working as a security officer, there was one guy from Pakistan. He always brought double the food so that I could also enjoy. I was a single guy in my early twenties also going to University while trying to support myself. I hope to find him one day so I can show my true gratitude for his generosity. He gave me some of the tastiest food I’ve had in my life. It was goat meat in a fragrant rice with many vegetables. He always refused when I offered to at least pay for the ingredients. As I was quite young, I was not exposed to the Pakistani culture, many people in high-school were saying negative things, calling them racist names and smelly, etc. From my experience there are good and bad people in all cultures and races. I am blessed in a way because I grew up in Toronto, Canada, where all cultures live more or less in harmony. I want to thank this man and his family, for exposing me to their beautiful, ancient culture, and sharing their hearts with me. Mr. Abid Khan, if I can ever track you down, I would like to share my cultural heritage with you and your family. My ancestors are from Czechoslovakia, and I hope you will enjoy our food and culture. I just want to say thanks to a guy who realistically didn’t have much in common with me but literally fed me when I was hungry. Regardless of my skin or religion. Thank you Abid. I wish all our children could be as good friends as you were to me.

In Dubai I used Taxi so driver was Pakistani. After the payment I went my apartment and I realized that I forgot my wallet. I don’t remember Taxi number or I didn’t took the bill. I had huge amount of cash all my ID and cards. So after an hour I went out and was very upset. Security in my apartment asked if I lost something. You have no idea how much I was happy. Taxi driver saw where I live and came back so gave to security all my belongings. He didn’t leave his name or mobile number. I would reward him. I never forget that person. Person with Amazing personality and Big heart. Salute to Pakistani people.

I feel so bad now. They treat their guests, tourists so kind, they don't even accept money.. I guess they only accept money from people who's living there or doing business. This is so mind-blowing.. people all around the world, wants to take as much money from tourists.. I feel bad how my country is treating Pakistanis.. but mostly they're here as businessmen, not as guests. They have a very hardworking and never-give-up lifestyle with business mindset. This videos teaches me to treat them & guests better..

I just wonder what a tourist should do with the extra spending money. It feels unusual visiting a country and leaving without contributing at least a little bit of profit for the privilege of being a guest. It's not like a few hundred dollars will impact the economy enormously, but they deserve it more than I do as a tourist.

From Abu Hurairah RA, the Prophet SAW said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Hereafter, let him honor his guests, and whoever believes in Allah and the Hereafter, let him connect the cords of friendship, and whoever believes in Allah and the Hereafter, he should say good or keep quiet. ” (HR Bukhari, no. 5673 - Status of Authentic Hadith) Which means: “Has it reached you (O Muhammad) about the honored guests of Prophet Ibrahim? When they entered to him and greeted him, saying: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: Peace be upon you! "(Saying in his heart): These are strangers. Then he went in to his household and brought out a fat calf (roasted). Then he served it to them, saying:" Please eat. " (alquran Surah Al-Dzariyat: 24-27) Ibn Kathir said in his commentary: "Imam Ahmad and most of the scholars say it is obligatory to serve guests who come to visit the house." Refer to Tafsir Al-Quran Al-‘Azim (4/300)

This is totally true. I was in Pakistan earlier this year, and no one let me pay for anything. As a woman -- an obviously foreign woman -- men let me cut to the front of the line EVERYWHERE: at the airport, waiting for cabs, at restaurants while waiting for a table. It was ridiculous. I've traveled the world, and as a foreign woman in Pakistan, I was extended courtesy in a way that I've never seen before.

Funny, I can absolutely vouch for this! I backpacked through the Karakoram Range and the Hunza Valley, visiting Gilgit, Peshawar, Karimabad etc, 30 years ago. I remember villagers giving me bags of dried apricots time and time again, and continually offering me tea, always adamantly refusing payment. And I was a brown-skinned guy from the southern Caribbean, with no camera crew following me around. So it wasn't as though I was some European or American looking guy they were trying to impress. They were just genuinely friendly and extremely hospitable people. Glad to see that that's remained the same some three decades later

I now wish to know more about Pakistan. What a fantastic presence with such hospitality. I wish the general attitide here in the US wasn't so poisoned by capitalism, greed, status, and ego. Though, you will find people far and wide here (generally in the south, which is something often heard - "Southern hospitality") who will open their home to you and provide as best they can a fun, friendly experience. As an American, finding people and places like that here does seem very rare.

That’s how Pakistani people respect others the media will never show you this. Pakistani people treat you as their own family. My mom had a friend named Kaniz from Pakistan. They met at the pharmacy were my mom worked. Kaniz would buy my mom a fish dinner every Friday. My mom was a pharm tech, Kaniz was a RPH, and she knew pharm techs didn't make a lot, so she never let my mom pay. Even after my mom stopped working there, they kept in touch for yrs afterwards. I went to her daughter's wedding. The whole family was so nice, i never felt out of place or unwanted, and fell in love with the food!! When my mom passed, Kaniz came to the funeral. Bought flowers, and food for the repast. To this day, Kaniz still texts me to see how I'm doing. She told me one day, that my mom was her best friend. She had experienced racism in the US, especially after 9/11 since she was Pakistani and Muslim (u know how ppl can be). She said my mom never treated her differently and even though my mom was black with different beliefs, that was her sister. So, I have always called her Auntie Kaniz. I love her.❤

Pakistan is going deep in debt and they think that they can earn some money from tourism it is nothing that you experienced its just a promotional ad.it is still one of the most dangerous countries for tourists and what about the fact that world biggest terrorist bin laden stayed there for 10 years with support from Pakistani military.

I would love to go to Pakistan. However, I have a hard time believeing they are all like this. At least from my experience with people from Pakistan in the US they are very similar to us Americans
@misakimei31025 жыл бұрын
Dennis Pietrandrea not really, I have been to Us and I can't exactly say that the hospitality was the best. When we arrived at the hotel we booked, they just wouldn't accept a cash payment no matter what. They wanted credit payment or they said they'd have to cancel our booking. It was our first day in there and I already felt so frustrated. Luckily, our uncle helped and sent an online payment. Its just that the rules are so damn strict there! I don't ever see that sorta stuff here in Pakistan. Whenever someone needs help, people do help. And I am not saying that everyone is kind but majority of people are very helpful and kind and that's enough for me. Atleast people care about eachother here.

@@misakimei3102 I mistyped. What I was trying to say that the people that are from Pakistan who I have met at college. Act very similar to normal day Americans. I.e not like what was portrayed in the video but had a southern hospitality kinda vibe.

I was on delhi airport buying keychains and was short of 400 indian rupees. A sikh couple paid the change and got me two more keychains one from each. Nice people are everywhere. You just gotta keep values close to heart. Also im from Pakistan and although you see more of such generosity in Pakistan, people with culture still exhibit it in india.
