Our children and I were evacuated from Kabul and sent to New Delhi just prior to the Russian invasion, my husband stayed there for an extra 3 months until everyone left. It was a magical time in my life and I have such amazing memories, the Afghan people are remarkable and it has been a constant sorrow to me that they have had to suffer through such terrible times. Thank you for showing a different view of the people than what has been broadcast through the mainstream media, as with most countries “the people” want nothing to do with conflict, only the people with the power want that, very sad.

Awesome drew, thank you for taking us beyond the mainstreams news perception of this beautiful country. As a 1/4 Syrian, I also appreciate your kind words you have about Syria and your op-ed mindedness about each and every middles eastern country, going passed the war and bombings. You have truly shined a new light on these countries that I have never seen or known before. Thank you for everything drew.

I am watching this with teary eyes. As a Hazara girl, I am proud of how you acknowledge our people. We have been ignored by the media because it was controlled by the Taliban, and they pretended we do not exist. To every Hazara home, you are welcome, Drew! We respect you like an older brother. Your relationship with Hazaras goes beyond nationality, race, or religion. You are loved by us anywhere in the world!

This is an incredible documentary. 🇦🇫🇦🇫🇦🇫 Ancient sites, cave homes, cute kids, beautiful views and amazing people. Thank you Drew for going to my country ❤️ Sending prayers to all people of Afghanistan, specially to the Hazaras and women who are always target of oppression and difficulty.

Thank you Drew Binsky for your wonderful video of the amazing, sweet, hospitable, unspoiled children and people of Afghanistan. I am currently watching videos of the Nomads of Afghanistan and I am in awe of the people's resiliency and cooperation with their fellow Nomads. They travel along treacherous mountain regions from one area to another. It's a tough life! I have a deep appreciation for them and their lives. They're always willing to give helping hands to one another, and the families manage without modern conveniences to live happy, healthy lives with little to nothing, but they make the best of it without complaints.

Lately I've been feeling this longing to go see Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Even though I left Afghanistan when I was very young, and don't remember much; I'm still very attached and so proud to say that I'm an Afghan. We are by far the most misunderstood people in the world. Have you noticed that even if you are born outside your country of origin/ethnic background, people will always ask you "where are you from"?. At least that's the case in US. It's a nice feeling to know where I come from ❤️🇦🇫🙏🏼 PS: Thank You Drew for always showing the true beauty of every nation and culture in the world. Special thanks for showing my country ❤️🇦🇫❤️

Remembering your previous videos about Afghanistan and the many encounters with nice peeps and your relationship with your tour guide Noor who eventually fled the country and the conflict. That was really heart breaking, more so, that many citizens have been and are still suffering the greed for power and supremacy and idealism of a few.. BTW, Drew you made me cry when you talked about the journey of Noor and his fam and because of your efforts, I believe even more that humanity is always present even in differences and complexities.

I was in Afghanistan in 1977 and it was even more magical .The women were far more liberated . There was no religious oppression and the Buddha’s at Bamiyan were still standing. Hopefully one day they will rid the country of religious fanatics and the country can return to those beautiful times of the sixties and seventies
