I think that the first comic is referring to the German province hertzogtum anhalt that has a flag that looks exactly like Bulgaria’s flag upside down and when Bulgaria tripped Reichtangle mistook it for that province. That’s why in the last panel it’s all German states.

Chilean spanish is not that weird (it's the spanish I speak). There is a continuum with neighboring countries, and it's quite similar to the dialect spoken in Extremadura, Spain (Chile was originally called New Extremadura by Spaniards).

4:10 Spain isn't really responsable for that. just look at a map of south america before 1879, Chile was way shorter. Chile basically avoided what happened to Paraguay in the triple alliance war by letting Argentina have the territories to the east of the andes mountain. by doing that they made sure not to fight a 3 v 1, but instead just a 2 v 1 against peru and bolivia that Chile won. by winning that war, Chile gained peruvian and bolivian territories to the north while at the same time they were conquering indigenous territories to the south.

@@wholesome_country well the most of China's deaths was civilians (little more than 15 millions to be precise); only about 4 million was actually military deaths. Whilst the Soviet Union had around 11 million military deaths (which is just mind blowing) and around 12 million civilian deaths. Its hard to be exact because we don't know exact how many died during the war, but rough estimates are still shocking to hear (after all: both of these countries lost almost twice the people during the second world war, than my country has in population today).
