The favorable opinion of China over the US in Singapore and Malaysia is not surprising, both nations have a lot of people of either Chinese descent and or Chinese expats. In Malaysia Chinese are the second largest ethnic group at 22.8% right behind the ethnic Malays themselves, while ethnic Chinese make up 75.9% of the population in Singapore, with Malays making up 15.4% followed by Indians and a mixed bag making up the remainder. The Tunisian one is surprising tho, I mean we haven't had any beef with them since the Barbary Wars, so my only conclusion is that there is animosity from our involvement in Libya, who's after effects may have spilled over into Tunisia e.g. refugees and thus blame us as a result, even tho it was the Libyans themselves that kicked off the conflict. Edit: Poland being the most favorable to us is not surprising either, Poland and the US have a rather long history together going back to the founding of the US, we had quite a few Poles fighting in the Revolution two of the more famous ones being Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Pułaski. Aside from that the US was seen as a safe haven for Poles after the Commonwealth was partitioned by Prussia, Russia and Austria, where Poles were treated at best like second class citizens or at worst little better than slaves. Additionally there are many Poles whom see the US as instrumental in Poland gaining its independence first after WWI for obvious reason and then secondly after the fall of the combloc, where the US put so much pressure on the USSR which was already failing and thus afforded the Poles a opportunity to revolt in the form Solidarność movement and finally throw off the jackboot of Russia and communism as a whole. Not to mention there is a ton of Polish-Americans about 8.81 million which is roughly 2.67% of the US population and many of us still have family ties in Poland myself included.
