If you don't get the Bear and Poland thing: Polish soldiers in WW2 adopted a Syrian Brown Bear and named him Wojtek (Happy Warrior). He would eat cigarettes and drink beer and when he was done he would smash the bottle. During the Battle of Monte Cassino he would carry heavy crates with ammo that would normaly take about 3 soldiers to carry. He died 2nd of december 1963 in a ZOO in Scotland at the age of 22. In Poland there's a lot of statues dedicated to him R.I.P. Wojtek the soldier Bear
